I decided not to sit until I patterned them. Once they started coming in on a regular basis I sat just a few afternoons. The second day I day I hunted I showed up about 30 min late and walked up on one, that same bear came in 20 min after I left. here are the other bears which were coming in. The first pic is of one of my cameras being chewed on.

I buy inexpensive cameras for that reason alone. If you’re going to put cameras on water you’re going to have problems with UDA's. A week ago I went to check on my cameras and I found one of my cameras missing after looking in the tank I saw my strap floating, the only thing salvageable was the SD card. Yesterday I found two more cameras missing. I bounced into BP and they were telling me their cameras get stolen and bashed in by UDA's all the time, so they've started hanging them high up in trees. I would suggest getting some type of locking system for your cameras, that’s my next investment. Bottom line, if you use cameras you will eventually lose some. One other thing I know some cameras have an auto flash, if yours do put a piece of tape over the flash. Who cares if you don't get pics a night, it's not your going to be hunting then anyhow. good luck!

Thanks everyone!!! I've been watching this bear and a couple others for the last couple weeks. This particular bear had the nicest coloration, but was the smallest. The bear came in at 4:00 for a swim, once he came out of the water he stopped at about 14 yards to shake off. After the shot he traveled less than 20 yards and piled up. I used a PSE X-Force Axe 6 @ 73 lbs with a G5 Striker broad head, the arrow passed completely through. Bears can be so tough to track with even the best shot, so it was nice I was able to watch him go down.

This muzzleloader was purchased Last September. I only put around 50 rounds through it. Included with the rifle are Leupold 1 piece base and dovetail rings. Everything is in excellent condition. They are both big boars, but the camera does add a few extra pounds

I'm thinking of switching back over to a mechanical head and was considering using a Rage 2 or 3 blade. What has been the consensus on these broadheads?

I agree shot placement is key.. I was more interested in how well they shoot at high speed in addition how well they hold up. Sounds like they work well on fair skin animals, but maybe not so well on bigger critters. This particular setup is going to be for bear, maybe I'll just stay with the fixed blade setup.

I just wanted to share a couple pictures of this buck I shot in 32 on Saturday.. I glassed him up bedded at 9:00, I ranged him at 499 yds, shortly after 10:00 his doe stood up and he did too. A couple of shots, later and possibly a few more shots and the buck was down. Three days prior I glassed up a large Tom which really disappointed me because It was going to force me to go and try a new area, but I decided I'd hunt the area a couple more times before I switched locations.. Glad I did!!! The buck is a 3x4, but really just a huge two pointer.. I hope you enjoy the pics... Keith
