    Fort Huachuca Coues 2009

Nice!!! I knew I should have hunted post this year. Im still kicking myself in the butt, especially after I almost hit a monster last friday by the main gate shopette. I don't think my wifes car would have survived, nor her, she was hanging out the window puking from too much vodka and cranberry at the Bn Ball. Ill learn one of these days.

    ABSOLUTE GIANT!!

WOW!!!!!!!Glad that wasn't me, I would have pooped my pants if I saw that, my rifle would have been pointing backwards, probably rolled down a cliff, stuck my eye with a cactus and I might have pee'd a little. Thats a freak of nature. Amanda if you go down there to score him bring some of those genetics back this way, sprinkle some out of your window from Hereford all the way up to Flagstaff.

    Deer and rubs?

Oneshot is right. Rublines are visual indicators to other bucks to stay out, this is my homerange, if you enter be prepared to fight. His homerange will usually encompass several Doe's homerange, personally I wouldnt get too hung-up on the rubline, look for an active scrape within or along the rubline, the one with the nibbled off twig above it. You really want to piss him off, make a mock-scrape along his rubline, then heck get a little curious and might travel the line checking more often. Good Luck

    Southern units and safety

I live close to the base of the huachucas and hunt 35 regularly, compared to last year I havent seen an UDA yet. The trash is still there though, Miller and Hunter Canyon are not as bad as Ash. I was in my tree last night bowhunting for deer and had 5 Javalina come right under me. Either way mostly quiet minus Carr and Ramsey canyons which due to the popularity get alot of traffic. Good Luck

    Ft. Huachuca

Yote, I truly apologize for that comment, it was uncalled for. Your original post was probably taken the wrong way. You can hunt on the Fort because you are military. Good Luck and again sorry.

    Tag Help

Need some help. Bought an Archery tag 1 January 08, wasn't able to harvest a deer. Can I still put in for a Rifle tag as long as I only take one deer?
