    Pop-up camper questions

I have a Starcraft 14RT. I bought it because I liked the idea of a camper that would "go anywhere you are willing to take your truck." It has been a great camper, but it does require a little maintenance. The screws that hold the cabinets and furniture together seem to rattle loose fairly easily, so I inspect them constantly and add a little glue when I tighten them up. I'm a little dissapointed with the quality of the wood used on the internal workings, but I think every brand uses the same stuff to reduce the overall weight. Also, the water system can be troublesome if you don't drain the water heater after each camping trip. I agree with your point about the toilet, but the shower has been great. A shower really seems to recharge your batteries on a long trip. I've been thinking about posting my camper in the classifieds on this site, as I'll be in Chile for the next two years and won't be able to use it. -Alex

    Question about Gambel's Quail

Since AZ is a tough draw state, we used to have a ‘quail camp’ every year. Here is a sure fire plan for tasty quail: 1. Shoot them with a bow if you can. This will impress your friends, get you out of cleaning duty and grants you the first beer upon returning to camp. 2. Breast the birds carefully, there’s not much to begin with. 3. Make a breading consisting of smashed up Cheeze-Its. Some of the smashing will be done for you depending on the drive in. Put the smashed up Cheeze-Its in a large ziplock. 4. Place the breasts in the bag and shake vigorously. 5. Fry the breaded breasts in butter over some good coals. This recipe isn’t very healthy, but it’s hard to beat Cheeze-Its and butter. Good luck!

Economic impact of mining on forum members

Mining is a HUGE part of Arizona’s history and future. Although your livelihood may not be directly tied to mining, your daily life certainly is. It’s actually dizzying when you think about it. All the worlds’ metals didn’t miraculously appear ready to use. Someone dug them from the earth and processed them into a usable product. The steel of your rifle barrel, the aluminum screws on your bow and the diamond ring on your wife’s finger are just a few examples, not to mention the copper in this computer that I’m typing on right now. Most of us are end users, but my livelihood is directly tied to mining.

    F-250 Diesel

I'm selling my 2005 F-250 King Ranch. The truck has been awesome, but I've recently moved to Chile and no longer need her! The truck has the 6.0 Powerstroke, XM radio and a B&W rollover gooseneck hitch. I've already moved, but the truck is in East Mesa if you'd like to take a look. I'm asking $21,000 obo. Email me at alex.kanon@gmail.com if you are interested. Thanks!

    F-250 Diesel

The truck has 135,000 miles. Mostly highway miles (unfortunately!). It has BFG All Terrains that are in pretty decent shape and was religiously serviced. Thanks, Alex
