Elk and Antelope checks
Rick Owens1 replied to willhunt4coues's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Don't know how true it is, but have been told that there was less than 50% applicants for elk than there was last year. Bad economy? -
I grew up here "Globe" but most of my childhood hunting was done in unit 29 chasing muleys. Have some really good memories from down there, of course this was way before all the homeland security issues and illegals infesting the southern part of the state. Now the majority of hunting is done in 24a and 23, deer, small game (squirrels being my favorite to chase) predators, and yes of course coues whitetail.

Good looking deer! I have been a member of this site for a year now but am still considered a "newbie". Just don't have much time to browse, also not that hot on the computer! Anyway welcome and congats! -
Those are the kind of videos that get your heart pumping for next season!

dang Clay I wish I had your job!! All the time in the world to mess with the computer! J/K Thanks for the info See you soon I need more welding rod!!!

Handgun hunting for me rates up there with archery hunting, it's a blast and a little more challenging! I shoot a T/C .223 and took a muley spike with it a few years ago and it feels good to say you killed a deer with a pistol! If you're going to try it I would recommend any of the T/C pistols and they have a wide variety of calibers!

PRICELESS!!!!

It's amazing how cheap or lazy people can be to avoid the land fill. I live in Globe and I have seen some of the same thing in our woods and desert. But what is funny is that these people are'nt smart ehough to pull their mail out of it so there is a name and address. Comes in pretty handy when it's turned in to the Forest Service!!!

Great first deer!! The next one will be a wall hanger! Congrats!

What a good looking buck! trust me I know what it's like to lose to a girl, so here's an idea challenge her to a couple rounds of skeet shooting!! Worked for me!! -

Brings new meaning to the term "sly as a Fox!" Great pic! -
My name is Rick Owens I'm new to this this website and enjoy all the photos and stories. I had a whitetail tag this year in 24A and killed this buck 3 days into the season, and thought you might enjoy a picture of it. It was about a mile hike back to the bikes with him on my shoulders, but it was worth it. rick1.bmp
