I figured out today after my trip to archery headquarters that the DXT is well worth the money... LOL! Shoots AWESOME and the guy at AHQ was very helpfull. Already got it dialed in and shooting tighter groups than the old PSE. I'm thinking buying a quality bow is just like buying quality optics (SWAROVSKI). The initial price is kind of scary but after all that nonsense is over you would'nt do it any other way. JMO.

I bagged a turkey in unit 23 two weekends ago but it was all luck(I was archery deer hunting). I shot it at 12 yards with a muzzy broadhead it was pretty cool!

Why are you skeptical? Not trying to start poop but there are alot of unethical (ignorant) hunters out there these days that can't read a map or posted "NO HUNTING" signs. It does'nt shock me one bit. Im from the show me state! U show me and ill believe it! LOL!!!

What was the weather like? I have a Nov. hunt in 36B but don't wan't to start scouting if it's too hot. (yeah I'm a wimp when it comes to heat!)

Glad to hear you gave it an honest effort. When stuff like that happens you definately learn from it, I know I did! Good luck on your elk hunt.

I have seen quite a few mule deer on the res. don't know why they don't have a season. They currently reserve mulies for tribal member hunts only. Amanda In that case where do I sign up to become a member? LOL! I have seen some hogs out on the res.

I don't see how you could go wrong near the black river. I was there not too long ago and saw 3 bears two sows and one nice boar. They all decided to come by and say hello at less than ten yards! Was'nt too scared until the big male showed up!!!!!!

Work as little as possible and the rest of the time go hunting!!!! Oh and fishing!!!!!

I usually hunt archery in unit 7 but they changed it to a draw so now I am at a loss of where to hunt this weekend. I would love to arrow a WT but love to chase muleys too. I have been researching all of the units and have been to most of them except for 27 and am pretty sure I want to explore this place. Can anyone tell me what the terrain is like and any experiences good or bad you have had there? I have good glass and plan on spot and stalk style hunting as I would have no pre scouted spot for a stand. I am not asking for a spot just would like to know some of your experiences like are there a lot of hunters, road conditions, public access etc. I have studied a map & the G&F reports but would like to hear from some unit 27 regulars. Thanks in advance and I will post my adventure story when I get back!
