Man looks like you all had a great hunt! All very nice deer! Congrats to everyone.

We can't do much with new optics but we have some rentals at discount, but with the late hunts most are going out. Kind of figured that. Do you ever get any Leica duovids 10-15x50 that were rentals but now for sale? NO NOT AT ALL. NO ONE REALLY LIKE THEM WHEN WE DID HAVE THEM. THEY ARE REALLY HEAVY. SORRY ABOUT THAT. Just thought I would ask. I am thinking of buying a pair in the near future. Thanks anyway!

I have been addicted to archery hunting ince i was 15 and have hunted archery deer every year since then. I have killed only one small muley, two cow elk, and a javelina. It's tough to say the least! Hope you have better luck than Ive had! LOL! Good luck and don't give it up, because when everything finally comes together it is well worth it! Oh and keep us posted on how your quest is going!

Oh and one more thing..... Are you gonna change your name to mule fan????? LOL!

I don't have a copy of the regs handy to find out what units these hunts are for and my P.O.S. computer is not letting me download the regs online for some reason? (User error no doubt!) Does anyone have the regs handy?????

A friend brought over a WWII 30-06. I was wondering if any of you gun nuts could tell me about this thing. On the barrell it says US model of 1917 Eddy Stone. Are these things worth any money?

That sounds like it. Thanks for your help.

I have a manfrotto tripod and built my own dual mount with quick disconnects. Works great and cost about $50. I'm sure the outdoorsman mount is nice but there are other routes.....

36Z hands down!

Obama OH NO!!!!!!!

Agreed. Crying like a bunch of sissies ain't going to change anything. The time is NOW for us to stand together as hunters and outdoorsmen to fight for our rights. Join the NRA and other second amendment groups, stay on top of any issues such as higher taxes or proposed bans and contact Senators and Congressmen and let them know how much we oppose them. Together we can keep him from getting the ball rolling in the wrong direction. But saying we're screwed and putting sad faces on your posts ain't going to get it done. Excelent point! It's about time to rally up and shut these jokers down for good instead of bitchin and sitting on our asses not doing a thing. -

That my friend, is the scary part! That the majority of the vote went to this idiot! That says something about America right there! This country is on the downslope for a long long time............................................................................ ........... -
Last Saturday firstcoueswas80 and I glassed up two big bucks, one spike, and a doe about a mile or so away. We were able to watch them for about 30 minutes or so and they were acting very strange. We would see them feeding and then all of the sudden they were off and running. Now the strange thing about that is it appeared that the two big bucks were chasing the doe! They would take off like a shot not really running from anything zig zagging up and down and all around the hillside.... stopping to feed here and there. I have seen deer play before but I thought this was strange behavior seeing how it is not even close too the rut. I guess my question is, has anyone ever seen this go on outside of the rut? Could it be possible that these two bucks don't give a rats arse what time of year it is and thought what the hey, this doe is mine??? They were'nt scrapping or any of that but everything else looked rutty to me!!! Both bucks are 100 inch give or take a few so it's not their first rodeo, I hunted these same bucks last year with no avail but am hoping to change all of that this Friday! So what does everyone think??????

What Is Considered A Big Bobcat?
mattobertin replied to Hunter X's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Maybe the cats i saw just had a lot of hair or something! LOL! The size of them may be decieving as to what they really weigh but I would compare them as far as height and length to a good size coyote. Maybe they are less than 20 lbs. but they are still alot bigger than any others i have seen. -

I have seen two huge bobcats. One last weekend and one a few years back. Both of them were mistakenly identified as a mountain lion from a distance! I don't have a positive idea what these things should weigh but if a big one is 20 lbs these were bigger than that. They looked like they were the size of a small lynx. -
Maybe all of the does in 36B look like carmen electra to the bucks.... I know I don't wait until a certain time of year to rut! LOL!
