Saw more coues deer today. In 24a then I've even seen in 1 day in my life time. At least 40 plus does and 9 bucks . I giant one with 4 does. Then a spike and a nice size forky. Then two small 3 points. And a smaller 3 point with two dang nice 4x4 and those two were fight and chasing each other . No does where with or near them. They fought pretty hard for about 10 minutes. Then went up over a ridge. Also saw about 30 coatimundai. And my nephew stuck one at 47 yards. Pretty dang good shoot for a 12 year old. I didn't have a camera today with me. Going to take one tomorrow and Saturday. Taking my 6.5 creadmore tomorrow. NO MORE CROSSBOW. I bought this yesterday.

Okay I went back to game and fish. And talked to a warden. Starting June 30th 2026. All crossbow permit holders. Will need to renew there permit annually. The crossbow can't have any type of illuminated sights or scope. And only a non illuminated scope of no more then 1x is allowed. Even open sight can't be illuminated. And no type of shooting stick tri pod or anything similar may be used . Unless you have certain types of amputation. Only natural sources may be used. Like a rock,tree limp,fence,etc...may be used. Basically a crossbow is worthless

How do you figure I am the reason they changed the rules. What proof do you have of that? Everything I have done is legal and legit. I obtained my permit legally. I got My Champ permit legally and legit. I bought a Licence And a Tag. I also put in for rifle tags which I have one right now. A 24A late whitetail only tag that ends on the 31st. But I'm shooting my crossbow only. Haven't even taken a rifle. Why because I can't go after a deer I've shot at 400 yards or more because of my health and disabilities. So even in rifle I shot my crossbow. Because I don't need a rifle. I only shoot 100 yards or less. So sorry rifle guys if I'm taken advantage of you.

Exactly. At least when I shoot my crossbow at a animal. I hit it and it goes down . I have only lost one deer . He ran about 300 yards and another hunter stuck him again. And took him. Never has one ran off and could not be found . Most are dead within 30 yards and east to recover. On Sunday of this week. I ran into two younger gentlemen. They both told me that they both had shot a course buck early that morning in 24A. And they ran straight down into a deep valley. Neither one even went to look for them. One was a 2 point the other a 3 point. They told me they don't chase them. That if they don't go down on the spot. And need to be pursued or what they called chased. That they drive on. And said shooting it was what was fun. And recovery didn't mean shoot. Seem like that's the people we need to complain about. Not crossbow hunters. How many deer are laying dead or wounded by some dipshit. With a bow. Who think he can shot 80 to 100 yards.

I Have a MA3TY Scope on mine. It has variable speed adjustment. And illuminated sights. Ranging from 20 to 100 yards . I was told it was okay.

I actually set down with two Game and Fish Employees this morning in Mesa. And what I wrote is what I was told. I googled and got several different Answers. Including that I could no longer use it as of January first. And only use it for the HAM. Hunt.

if you can't hunt with a bow don't put in for Archery. Wow.. very very selfish. And if I'm correct. Recurve BOW, Compound BOW and a CROSSBOW are all characterized as a BOW . Just because Az Game and Fish chose not to recognize it. Doesn't change the fact Crossbows are a legit legal BOW.

I went to game and fish this morning. Regarding the crossbow permit changes. Next year and for the years following. If You have a crossbow permit. You will need to renew it Annually. NO MORE PERMANENT PERMITS .. if you have one now. You can use it until the end of June. Then you will need to renew your permit. I told them what crossbow. I have and how I have it set up. They told Me. It was a nice set up and No changes need to be made. Only thing I got out of it was the yearly renewal.
