This is so exciting. Each day Dad is getting better from his heart attacks . A month ago I thought I may never get to hunt with him again. Now where going to each hunt unit 9 for Bull together. During the rut. And let me tell you Dad can bugle them in from another state. He really knows his shoot when it comes to getting them to respond and come in. . This is like God sent. Now Dad really has reason to hang on and be here. He will definitely get back into shape for this.

Has anyone ever caught a golden coloreds rainbow trout? Today while fishing for trout. I caught a golden colored trout. Came home and looked at the odds off catching one. It says 1.8 billion to one odds. And in the 50s they were native in northern California. I've never seen one until today

Mine got hit today. Going to be Archery Bull. I only put in for unit 9 first choice and 27 second choice. Going to be one of them. This will be my first elk tag. Started putting in 16 years ago.

Thanks Dan My Dad will love the news about San Carlos lake. He has fished that lake for over 50 years. It's His and My favorite lake of all. I can remember back in 2005 We had 100 plus days on crappie and 30 to 40 bass thrown in as bonuses. We been going to Talkalai. Maybe time to hit the river area at San Carlos.😄

Not so much that the felt is bad. As the people putting it on. Most the time its illegals getting paid by the square. And they throw it on. Most don't know how to flash properly. They break the tile instead of cutting it. And just plain don't care. Over the years spec's got tougher. All tile must be nailed for the first three rows,and three tile in on all perimeters and hips. Top three rows have to be nailed and every other row. . 40 years ago you could put a single layer of 30# on. And no slats to hold the tile on. Just dry in and lay the tile . No nails ..

Yes ... Some could be used back. If it's not bent all to heck and full of holes. I've always double flashed everything with new flashing and metal valleys,metal edging and etc ..

You have a flat concrete tile roof. 40# should work fine with a double layer.

Exactly.. 30# is designed for asphalt roofs . Such as flat roofing and works good as a base sheet for hot tar roofs. It is asphalt saturated and will dry and crack under tile. 40# works okay for tile roofs etc .but cracks easy. I recommend two lawyers of 40# if your using it.with a 20 inch overlap. Synthetic last longer and works best. But is a pain in the butt to lay. And more expensive. 15# is for shingles. Unless perforated,then it's used as a felt layer for hot roofs.

Don't clean the pads on the roof. The salt from the pads and in the pan. Will eat up Asphalt shingles and flat roofs. Rince the roof of really good. When you service a swamp cooler always clean the roof off good. And don't let the cooler leak on to the roof. One of the biggest roof repairs I do. Is leaks from swamp coolers.

Took the day off yesterday. Been a rough couple weeks with Dad being ill. He's home now and doing okay. So I went to talkalai lake. Left Surprise at 4 am. Got to Superior and hit a detour. Yikes. 71 miles total one way . Finally got to the lake and not another boat or person anywhere . Fished from 830 am to 545pm. Caught 13 Bass and 11 crappie. Biggest bass was just over 6# and crappie all ranged around 2 to 2.5. Absolutely gorgeous day and one of the most peaceful days I've had in years. All alone and nothing but Time to reflect on life. I'm very thankful to God ,for the Blessing He gave Me yesterday. And the fact I still have a Dad who is alive. And hopefully be cathing his own 6 pounder soon. Crappie breaded with Marie calenders cornbread mix and Homemade Corn fritters with fresh coleslaw tonight for dinner. 😋

Yes I believe 15 or maybe 12 horse or less. The North ramp is the best. 2 miles of dirt road pretty bumpy at times just go real slow. Really cool lake kinda hidden and out of way. Night bite from mid April to about the end of October is excellent. For crappie.

No just drifted with two 1/8 oz jig heads with chartreuse and black on one and dark purple with gold flakes in it. The purple was there favorite color. I missed several because I was concentrating on Bass mostly. Minnows and a bobber work fantastic there. Going back for 10 days April second thru the 12 th. Probably will try San Carlos too.
