Hi, Went in yesterday and bought somethings. Got goosebumps just looking around. It was good to see what a stocked archery store looks like and there were still boxes coming in the front door! Great guys to talk to. It will be nice to have another option here in Tucson. Hopefully they will start carrying Matthews soon . Brent

Hi, I use a minox spotting scope that I bought from Doug at cameraland. It was a demo that I think I paid about that much for. I had the same concerns but Doug understood and said I could return the scope if it didn't live up to my expectations. I use mine with my 15's and though the quality isn't lecia or swaro, it has saved me some walking when it comes down to picking apart a buck's rack. It is about the lightest scope out there and I use the 21-42 eye piece. Give Doug a call at cameraland. He is a sponsor of the Amanda's site and is a good man to work with. I've bought a few items from him. Good luck, Brent

Here's some pictures of my 2009 archery elk. Jim Christensen at Sonoran Taxidermy did the work. I'm glad I decided to have it done. It might be another fourteen years till I get a tag Brent

I was ten. Shot my biggest sitka blacktail somewhere in the woods around Hoonah, Alaska. My wife shot her first deer in those same woods, a sitka blacktail spike fifteen years later. My son shot his first deer when he was ten, a muley spike in 36a and my daughter got her first when she was thirteen, a four point whitetail in 33. Thanks for bringing up good memories. That's what hunting is all about. Brent -

Hi, Looking for some opinions. I'm doing a side job and the customer wants to pay me with a kimber in a 22-250. Its a pretty gun and I sure it is valued in the ball park for what I need for the job. I've never owned a kimber or a 22-250 for that matter. Any opinions? The caliber seems to load light for anything but varmints, but he said he has used for pronghorn. Brent

That's the one. It's sure is a nice looking gun. Thanks Doug, I Knew you had some kimbers; I was curious what you thought. Brent

Hi, I have been using a minox ed spotter for a few years. I have the 20-45 long eye relief and I really like the set up for the money. I believe I spent around $700 for everything from cameraland. It's compact and one of the lightest. It even fits into your backpack sleeve with out any problems. Give Doug a call at cameraland. He's great to work with. Brent

Bud and Gavin have been friends of mine for years. They have done eight deer and a bear for me and my family over the years. Great work and even better people. Brent -
Met Mike today and bought his 7mm wsm from him. It was everything he said it was and more. Both, Courtney and I shot it today. It looks like Courtney might have a new gun. It was a pleasure meeting you, Mike. Thanks for everything. Brent

I've been using WGP for years now. I bone out my deer and bring him what I want made into sausage. Courtney loves the snack sticks he makes. They are like slim jim's on steriods. Everything he's ever made has been good. He did butcher my elk for me this year and did a great job. Jonathan is a great guy.

Hi, Was a little bummed when Courtney did not draw a junior tag, but we were able to draw a leftover adult tag for late November. Without telling Courtney's story for her, here's bits and pieces. Bivyed in about five miles and shot this 82 inch 3x4 non-typical on a windy second day. She shot him in his bed at 252 yards at 230pm. We packed him back to camp and with rain clouds on the horizon, packed up camp and made it to the truck at 930pm. A great hunt. Courtney wants to write up her whole story so till then.... ,,, Brent

Congrates to your son, Jake. Great deer. My daughter, Courtney, also had a late November leftover tag. It was a tough first weekend for hunting. Good luck on your archery hunt. Brent

Great buck. Awesome story. Congrats to Brock Brent

Yes, Courtney reloads for her gun and also does some of my loads. She seems to like it as much as I do. I do supervise and truth be told, I weigh each load to make sure she didn't miss any power charges. Brent
