  1. I picked up an AR upper the other day, with a piccatanny rail running out almost to the end of the barrel. Looking stuff over I think I am going to put some 45 degree side mount open sites on it but I would like to put a variable 3x9 on top to give me a chance to hit something at distance on a P- Dog shoot we will be doing this summer. Its a 16" barrel. So in a moderate price range what do you guys recommend. THanks JLG.

    Freaks of the Woods

I actually put this in the small shed section until I noticed this. I thought it pretty amazing until I saw some of the others in here. I do love the uniqueness of it. Have had it probably 25 years.

    WTB Remington 300 RUM brass

I was at an out of the way gunshop up north last week and they had some 300 RUM brass never fired. I will be back up later this week. If you need it let me know and I will get a price on it, JLG.
  5. Bump thus georgeous stuff. It pains me to sell this.
  6. Wanted to do a 6.8 mm on an AR-15 lower but didnt happen. Have 1500 new never fired 6.8 mm Rem SPC cases. 1600 Rem 115 gr FMJ bullets, 2000 Winchester Large Rifle Primers and a set of 6.8 mm Remington SPC RCBS dies. With shipping have over $1200 into this stuff. Will take $900 for it all. Will make a great caliber for the AR-15 platform for juniors or small frame hunters. Take Care JLG.

    Danner Pronghorns

I get about two years out of mine. I am on my third pair. Comfortable boots.
  8. Thought I would throw this out there. I am helping out some friends on the 22N Thanksgiving weekend hunt but staying with them so my place will be open that weekend and also thru the week as well. Long story short my place can sleep 8 people. Have five beds and two couches. Its two bathrooms with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Also have directTV. The title states this but we can also do this for the dec 22 whitetail tag and also the Jan archery deer and javelina season in 22 or really any unit your comfortable driving back to Payson for. This is my thought. If you have the 22 north tag, Thanks giving weekend hunt, I will rent my place out to you and your friends for $100 a night. Have plenty of space for inside storage of gear, plenty of parking. I would prefer it to be all members of the same hunting party and I imagine you as well. My place has three bedrooms. My second bedroom has a queen in it and my third bedroom is setup as a bunkhouse with two bunkbeds so it sleeps three. On cold, wet hunts the ability to take a hot shower every night and wash and dry your cloths is huge. It can keep you hunting thru the whole season. Kitchen and all ware would be open for your use as well. If interested you can PM me and we can talk. My place is in Star Valley. Take Care JLG.
  9. Andrew this is a great write up and one I will reread several times more. You are a tough person. You never let the pain you where going thru show. You where with me every step of the way. I had some great hunts this fall and now into the spring seasons. But you getting your spike meant alot to me. I knew how valuable the meat was to you. I will long look back on your hunt with fond memories. It was a great hunt in terms of a mix of both old friends coming thru to help without a personal dog in the fight and new friends like Rob who by staying with us even after he killed his bull on Monday allowed us to keep hunting on Thursday by helping Chris packout his bull. I like to be surrounded by unselfish people willing to go above and beyond. We had that in that group of people. You, Chris, Jimmy and RL. Just added to a great experience. Enjoy your bull and I looked forward to our next adventure Friend. JLG.
  10. Will be helping four friends over the long weekend. Should be a blast. We will be in 22 around Payson. JLG.
  11. Not a good weekend for camping and hunting. The snow is gorgeous. Looking forward to tomorrow !!!
  12. Been scouting the last two days. Three herds yesterday and some bucks. Five bucks today, two in killable positions. Should be pretty good. House cleaning for guests this weekend tomorrow. Then its on.
  13. Up in Payson today, going to do some goose hunting. Just checked the weather it is 16. Sat a pond last night, between that and the ranger ride back to my truck I was thankful I wasnt camping out. Place ia set at a comfortable 70. Nice to have TV, a shower and a warm bed to comeback too after braving the cold.
  14. Got a full house for new years weekend but could accommodate after the holiday weekend.
  15. We have a herd in my park. They have rooted up my plants. I have not seen them but some of my friends who have stayed with me have.
  16. Almost 4000 reads. A few folks must be kicking this around in their heads. Will be up after Christmas thru the first week, 10 days of January. We have several archery, junior and HAM tags in 22. Need to get a couple herds tied up for Jalapeno and cheese summer sauage.
  17. Man it is cold up here. Tough camping weather for the 22 Wt hunters. Place is nice and warm at the end of the day. Shower feels great too. JLG.
  18. I did for a couple of days. Finally doing something productive today.
  19. It was a little dicey coming out Thursday night but was really tired and couldn't think straight. All worked out fine. Finally feeling better.
  20. You where huge John, you had alot to do with the early boys going 4 of 5. Eye in the sky. Had a great time this week with Andrew he loved it and came thru in the end when it was now or never.
  21. We got a spike tonight in 22s. It was Marshall's last day to hunt so it was a true 11th hour bull. Also his first bull too
