With that mentality, every car would be pulled over for speeding even if they were 1 mile over the speed limit. Then everyone would complain that the officer was being a prick and giving you a ticket for one mile per hour over.

They can make exceptions based on field observations. i.e. If an animal is wounded, and tracked into the night, some game managers will give you permission to finish the animal off even though it is illegal to take said game at night.

Good way to take the integrity out of bonus points. Now all you need is money!!! Maybe they should award an extra point if you put in community service and help them build water holes or something to that nature.

The subject of "wait time" has always had different opinions on how long to wait. I will say, that waiting "too long" has far less variables that can go wrong than waiting "not long enough." On a side note, did you attempt to claim your bear after the WMAT gave you permission? Or did you choose to let it die without claiming because the meat and hide are not good anymore?

So..... Did you you go and claim your bear? Now that you know you are able too, I would fully expect you to take advantage of them allowing you to claim it.

Wow!!! This is a big black eye for the Dept. Sucks that corruption is rampant in just about any Law enforcement agency. Please remember that not all LEO's are this way, and treat every officer with respect until he proves otherwise. I think there needs to be a lot of house cleaning over at the Dept., and the ones who are involved in this crap need to be first. MR. Ward, I can say that I did not have a dog in the fight to ban bait or not. I probably lean more toward banning it. I have to say that I really admire your drive and determination in fighting for what you believe in. I even like that you called out Randy from Archery Headquarters on being 2 faced. I do disagree with the notion that we are all hunters, so we need to all believe the same thing and support each other, even if you feel it is wrong. This kinda goes with the whole republican vs. democrat on beliefs. If everyone just votes right down party lines, every law gets passed so long as they control the house and senate. I am very much a republican, however I think some of the republican ideas are absolutely ridicoulous. I guess I just like the fact that you feel strong about something and are willing to take a stand, but I do not like the notion that if one hunter feels strong, we all have too.

I thought a new law was passed saying that the guns bought during the buy-back could NOT be destroyed. They had to re-sell the guns to put money into the state. Did I hear wrong?

Try AR-15.com. Those will be a tough sale with most people wanting either PMAG or Lancer for a polymer mag. I have sold plenty on AR-15.com and you should have no problem selling those there. Good Luck

last weekend the sea trout where running pretty good. 1 oz. castmasters proved to be deadly. Reel your line in fast and if you think you are really too fast, you probably are not. With the 1 oz. lures, you need to real fast to avoid the rocks and the trout/rock bass love it. Last year, we caught a few real nice flounders as well. Look for sandy bottoms and let the jighead with a quid or lure sink to the bottom, then reel at about a medium pace and get ready for some mighty fine eating.

My favorite locator call has always been the primos gobbler. It is easy to do, and always gets them fired up. I like to start my morning 2 hours before the sun comes up and try to drive and locate in the dark until you finally hear one respond. As far as where they go, I do not hunt 5B, but I have always had great luck locating them right on the edge of the snow line in during the spring hunts.

This is a nice plan, but considerably farther than what it sounds like you want to do. For the distance it sounds like you want to float, I would go between horseshoe and Bartlett. Should be close to 10 miles, and there are a bunch of cats in between those 2 lakes. I have caught all my personal bests in that stretch of the river and a few have been in the 40 lb. range with my best being 52lbs. It is not very cool out side at that time of year, but that is when the cats start biting. The eagle nesting zone, is a great place to catch some giant flatheads.

I would love to dive into this topic, but we are never going to see eye to eye on it, so I will just choose to believe what I believe and others can believe what they believe. I just think it is crazy to say that because we are not going to stand up against homosexuality, god is not going to stand up for our guns? So the way a person interprets that sentence is such: If you are not against gays, you are going to lose your guns? So now we have to hand over our guns? Absolutly positively a ridicoulous statement.

No law stating that you can not shoot 223 out of a 5.56. Lower really means nothing as far as difference in 223 and 5.56. It's all in the upper, if it can handle the pressures of 5.56.
