Lol. Looking for 110 or bigger. Let me tell you right where you might find one. Oh yeah and the guy who posted about a ton of does. Where do you find bucks during the rut? Just saying use your common sense. If you find does, watch them closely, the bucks will be there soon. finding does before the rut hunt is like finding a treasure map telling you where to dig for gold. All you have left is the digging. Good luck

I am on both sides of this topic. I believe if it is not your, then do not take it. However, lots of people leave blinds on a tank for weeks on in to CLAIM that hole as theirs. Public land is first come first serve, and most people do not believe in this. They think if they scout it and put up a blind or stand, that tank should be theirs. There is most likely someone else who saw that hole and has the same plans as you do. Still no justification for stealing a bilnd. I hope this thief gets what he deserves, however I would never leave a pop up blind out for a period of time. It's like leaving your garage open when you go to work. The people who see this and think it is a good idea to steal all your sh#@ are the same scumbags that steal blinds and stands. Moral of the story don't leave your garage open, because there is always a scumbag who needs your stuff more than you do.

Just as title says. I need to buy an adapter for my binos and I know some people bought these and then had theirs drilled and tapped by outdoorsman. If anyone has the one from swaro, let me know.

Well said. This guy is a joker. I have ran dogs after lions and still to this date, have not seen one treed. Trust me I have put on some serious miles behind hounds. To his dismay, I will let nodinks know that, I did however glass a lion up 2 years ago and then stalked and shot him. So I guess I would have to say that I am 0-4 using dogs, and 1-2 glassing and stalking in. Ur argument carries little weight, and lacks knowledge. You should stick to hiking with your stick and consuming your granola. Or better yet, for now on only hunt barefoot, naked, and with a stick to even the playing field while bear hunting. I would not want you making it EASIER for yourself to kill a bear.

I have used a bunch of knives in the field and have found that on elk, I rarely will use a saw. The only time I saw is when I need to remove the head. I use the gutless method of field dressing. I do not eat any of the organs, so this is a great route for me. My knives are as follows. I use the piranta knives for skinning and have both a cold steel pendleton hunter, and a knives of alaska, ( heck i for got the name of it.) The trick is to get a knife with good steel. The knife of alaska is d2 tool steel. This steel has a rockwell hardness above 60 which means it will not dull nearly as fast as your average knife. With this hard steel, there is a trade off. These knives are very hard to sharpen, if the edge is completely lost. This weekend, I deboned 4 quarters and feild dressed a cow elk useing just the piranta and the cold steel. Gerber has some good knives, but you will see the big change in price when you buy one. Most of them are 440 steel. look for the knives that have 154 CM or D2 steel. Check out the gutless method online. Pretty cool and saves some cutting with the knives.

Thanks for the advice, would love to find some coues in there. I understand that if someone does know about them, they might want to keep it hush. Just figured that it was worth a shot. I am trying to stay away from crowds as well as all the ATV riders. I pig hunt close to the lake and soon will quit doing that because of all the danged quads and razors and jeeps. I used to hunt Bumble Bee quite a bit, but quit because of all the traffic.

Hey guys, I have the 20B tag for muzzleloader. This tagis for any antlered deer. I have seen plenty of mule deer, but have been told there are coues in the eastern part of the unit. I am planning on hunting the west side of the unit, and was wondering if any of you have had any luck for either mule deer or coues in 20b. So far in all my scouting, it seems like the numbers are not very high. I have seen some good bucks, but not consistantly. Any pointers would be nice, especially on the coues side of it.

If you want to get techincal about it, leaving a camera in the forrest MAY BE illegal. They can and will consider it littering. So don't worry about everyone telling you it is illegal. Another tid bit I learned from a buddy who is a game warden. If you spot an animal while you are near your truck. You find him a few miles away, but know there is a rode in between you and him and you can cut your hike down from 7 miles to only 2 miles. This is illegal if you drive to that closer road then hike after you buck. They consider it hunting with the aid of a vehicle. This has been tried and hunters have been convicted.

I have a terrible feeling that hunting near these turbines will end shortly after they allow hunting in there. Unfortunately, there are too many idiots who are going to start shooting the turbines. I can already see it now. Then so long to that piece of land. Thank god 10 is gigantic and this will not affect too many people. I agree that the owner is only doing what he needs to do. His land, he has been ncie enough to allow hunting for this long and now he needs to head another direction. Good luck with the wind farm and I hope his bags of money "Mike" will be sleeping on will be comfortable.

Nice shot. Takes archery excellence to hit a coues that small.

Time to grow up. If he wants to tell someone about a spot thru the forum and not thru a PM, that is his choice. Guy helps out a fellow Cw'er and now he is a d##k. Got to be kidding me. Stay up in payson if this offends you. There are many more areas than hackberry. Try out west clear creek both north side and south. I prefer south. Lots of whitetail there too. Oh wait, I just ruined clear creek. DOH!!!! Good Luck on your hunt and bag a giant in Hackberry..

If anyone is interested in a new muzzleloader, Cabelas has a limited stock online of the T/C Triumph for 299$. That is a steal and below their cost. Just bought one.

I have $300.00 in cabelas gift cards, and wanted to see if anyone wanted to trade them for Sportsman's warehouse gift cards. I would rather shop at Sportsmans than cabelas.

I have a set of four stock chrome rims that came off of my 2006 Chevrolet 1/2 ton. If anyone has any interest in them let me know. I do not know what they are worth, so make me an offer. They have tires on them but there isn't much tread left at all, if any. Located in north Peoria. PM me if interested.
