Ben!! I want to thank you a ton for taking a stance and giving all of us a concrete answer. I just printed this whole topic out, and plan to keep it with me while hunting. I appreciate your answer and you have relieved me from some unwanted doubts. If I or anyone else has any issues in the field, I am going to site this thread. I love CWT.com.

I am pretty sure no one on here would think that is ok...... Totally different scenario than the one described at the start of this thread.

I killed 2 bulls with the trophy bonded bear claw. I only used factory ammo, so i went with Federal's high energy load with a 140 gr trophy bonded bear claw. I hit one bull in the shoulder at 120 yards, and the bullet spiral fractured his whole blade and I found the bullet in the opposite side hide. It only lost 6-10 grains I believe. Perfect expansion and delivered every ounce of energy. If you are hand loading, I have started using Barnes TTSX bullets and they are IMO incredible. fly very tru and hit like a ton of bricks.

I am no expert on the strip, but I think Mr. Bundy's advertising speaks for itself. http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34047

Welcome aboard.

Krueger is a great taxidermist. I love his work. I just wish I could continue to afford him. Nice looking mounts.

OMG!!! That is going to be the best scope ever. I can't imagine the amount of light it gathers at the higher powers. 4k is a steep price tag, but after you sell your existing swaro, you are only spending 2k. I can't wait to look thru one.

JLW thanks for posting the link to a thread that involved this subject. I just read the whole thread, and the game manager that chimed in, said exactly what I thought. GREY area.

The real problem is that, even if you think it is not going to hold up in court, the cost of court is not cheap, and as mentioned above, you are guilty until proven innocent. I would really like a game manager to talk to all of us about this subject. Seems to me as though most game and fish laws are grey. The problem with grey is, we usually see it as white and the warden sees it as black. I know a particular warden, who said there is not a chance he would ever give a ticket for this offense. Then in the same breath, he told me how the law was written, and it left it up to the officer to interpret. I have a feeling that is the truth of the matter, so it seems that AZGFD needs to come up with a stance on this issue, and then discuss the outcomes of their decision. Road hunting is a serious problem, but penalizing the guys who in my mind are not "road hunting" is wrong. When i said, I had first hand knowledge, I guess it isn't first hand knowledge, because it hasn't ever happened to me, but I know a person involved in the cases.

It is not the 4b manager.

I have first hand knowledge that a judge has upheld this atleast twice to my knowledge.

That was Awesome!!! Kill every prairie dog you can find, they are destructive little critters. What video editing program did you use?

The reason they wait is; they usally get the tag and then have to line up a guide and that takes time, since most guides are already booked up when you find out you got this tag. Then after the guides are not so busy, the bulls are post rut, they are then broken up and generally a lot tougher to find. They move considerably less and are a heck of a lot harder to find in the late season. Then the elk lose their horns and are not worth shooting until they re-grow them. That brings us to the end of their tag, and also gives their guide/guides all year to find a giant elk and watch him while he has no hunting pressure. They are easy to pattern then and can be easily compared with other bulls to figure out which one is the one they are after. Once they figure which one they want, they then need to wait until the absolute end of their hunt to make sure their bull has completed growing his horns and they harvest him with his biggest set of horns possible. Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I am looking for recipes. The green chilli thing sounds good, is ther anything other than just adding the ground to the sauce and calling it good?

So I killed a deer in december and one in january as well as some hogs in texas in february. Now I have this issue where I have so much meat that I decided to grind atleast half of it. The grind is phenominal because I used the hogs from texas as my pork fat. Its close to a 60/40 mix and tastes great. My question is, I can not for the life of me think af any other ways to make this into some different dinners. Any suggestions are appreciated. I usually do burgers, tacos, meatloaf or meat sauce for spaghetti. Anyone have any great recipes that I can try out?

I have been thinking about experimenting with sausages, the only problem is, I also had denmark sausage company make me some italian and chorizo as well.

+1.. Do not over think it. Most modern muzzleloaders are fantastic. I have the triumph and it is more accurate than most people shooting it.
