Listen to Casey on Barnes, I did and my groups shrank. Seat them off the lands atleast .050" They like the jump. Oh yeah and push the piss out of them. The harder you push, the better the groups get. Just have to give your shoulder the ole' pep talk before the range session. My gun I just built, likes them seated .060" off of the lands and 1 gr. short of max load. (180gr TTSX in 300 WSM) I shot a nice buck in the kaibab a few years back with the 150gr TTSX and they work as advertised.

I just wanted to thank Flatlander for checking for me. Thanks alot for taking the time to help out!

I'll be the odd one out and be rooting for the Ravens. Either team deserves it, but I would rather see Ray get one before he leaves.
-
Isn't the case the same on all WSM's? (300,270,7), just necked differently? If so, buy a 270wsm and rebarrell it.

12ga. 3in. mag out of a a non semi-automatic shotgun. It also depends on your powder charge. If you stick with 100gr. of powder it is not bad at all. Sorry to answer for mule, but I own a triumph and love it.

Do not answer the door and hopefully it disappears. Worst part for you is that, they usually do not let the big tickets just disappear.

Hope he moves, It would suck to know an idiot with a gun is your neighbor and we share a common wall/floor. Good luck with the situation.

Cabelas online still shows quite a few reloading .224 vmax bullets. -
ATF Confiscated a coworkers shotgun today

I had this happen 2-3 times when i sold guns. After the 3 day wait, a gun store could legally transfer the gun without a response from ATF. Only to have ATF call a few days later and say that the person was denied. It was crap, but then you give ATF all the guys info from the 4473 and they go and take the gun or clear up the BS. -
I just loaded up and shot some Barnes TTSX in my 300 WSM and I was not impressed with accuracy. Barnes recommends .050 off of lands. So that is where I put my first loads. Groups where over an inch, and I am not happy. Anyone have an suggestions that will save me time and shoulder pain. I have thought about just moving them closer to the lands by .010 at a time until I get desired accuracy or I just might scrap them all together and get the 185 VLDS. Any suggestions? Also seemed groups got smaller as Load charge increased. I am 1 gr. off of Alliant's Max. I have notcied that I can now see where my ejector sits on my bolt face in the back of the brass after fired. Is this too hot? Nothing else shows pressure signs.

<------ Was hoping for something better than that to drool at.

What he said. I call it the same thing. I just hit a Javy there and was able to clip the top of one lung. This caused the pig to bed down and I was able to put an arrow a few inches lower than the first. I was so pissed I couldn't possibly explain in type. Without the second arrow, I am sure I would not have found him. Look for birds, and If I was you, I would spend everyday I could looking for this buck. He may not die, or he may not be dead, but there is still a chance you will catch him rutting up does if it was indeed in "No mans land."

Thanks for the info, I will try seating them both shorter and longer and hope that helps with the accuracy. H1000 might be my next option. I have always been a hodgdon fan, but this time i decided to try RL-17. Do most of you try to shoot prone or off a bench to achieve best accuracy? I shot prone, and boy is my shoulder sore.

I was thinking complete opposite. I seem to find deer in places where I have not usually seen deer. Case and point, I took a buddy out pig hunting this weekend to my stomping grounds and did not see the usualy pig "heard" but I did manage to spot 3 bucks and 7 does. This makes 5 bucks and 10 does over the last 5-6 years hunting this area. Stink pigs went on the back burner and unfortunately buddy blew the opportunity and stink pigs became priority again.

Lots of pigs in 20B. Once you find them, you will have a hunting spot for years.

I have a few guns that I would like to sell, and I was curious of anyone's experience with either of these sites. If I sell a gun on there, is it a pretty smooth transaction? I have a few semi-auto .223's and 7.62's and wondered if I sell them, do I need to go and look at all the states that ban this particular type of firearm and make sure that no one buys from those states? Then would be the shipping, Do I just ship it to an ffl in their state and all is good?, or do i have to ship my gun from an FFL here to an FFL there? Any help would be appreciated. Which site is better?

A quick scroll thru tells me that they are trying to ban high cap. mags in AZ!!! Atleast that is what I get out of 1050! Shame on New York for hopeing that the rest of the US follow in their footsteps. -
How do you get that zeiss deal for the kenton turret. I got a 6.5-20 on december 28 so I know it is elgible for the rebate, I have only found the 100 rebate thru zeiss. I can not seem to locate how to get the kenton rebate as well?

http://www.chambersbowhunts.net/ I have been here and was pretty impressed with the amount of hogs. Archery only ranch so the hogs are not nocturnal. Kinda a DIY hunt with very little involvement from the ranch. They will take you to your blind and pick you up. They do all the gutting and skinning if you want them to, but I choose to save money and do it myself. They also do not include food, however do provide you with a kitchen and all the items to make your own food. If you are looking for fully outfitted, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to kill hogs @ a reasonable price and also much more exotics. This place is good. Call Maurice and discuss his ranches. He has 2 in sabinal and 1 in Del Rio.

Word for word what I would have to say on this subject. I own a smtih and wesson 642 hammerless .38 special. Lots of power with +P hydra shoks and very easy to conceal. I carry mine everywhere, and they are mindless to fire. Best part about them is the lack of maintence they need. no reason to take ammo out of mags and rotate mags so the springs do not weaken. They go bang everytime and if not just pull the trigger again and the next bullet will be in position anyway. ( would only need this if first round was a dud.) Oh yeah did I mention they are idiot proof to shoot. No matter how scared she may be at the time she would have to use it, there are no buttons or safeties to manipulate, just a trigger.
