Went out this morning for a quail hunt with a buddy out in 37A, Beautiful morning, went to my usual honey hole spot for quail and while walking to my spot I always try and go to this vertical 30’ mine shaft where (2) large barn owls like to hang out in. As I’m getting close to the opening, I see a bunch of little bones, then I see more bones/skulls. I gather up all the skulls and place them on a rock. These owls eating good!!!! Needless to say, the owls were not in there, so I proceeded to quail hunt. Knocked down 2. The drought this past year really did a number on the covey’s. Then came across this bench. May have to bring my wife and a bottle of vino and enjoy the sunset in the near future!!!!

Went out on opening day Friday to look for a bruiser out in Redington to my secret spot 😆. Turned up 16 does and 1 decent 2x, it was 600 yds out, complete opposite direction of truck. He will live another day!!! Saturday had family obligations so I got some good rest for Sunday. Headed out this morning to the front side of Mt Lemmon to my other secret spot😅. The hill was straight up and full of shin daggers…..I absolute hate those things!!!! Found multiple doe right from the get go. Started glassing across this canyon and found 5 bucks right away. Ranged them at just under 800 yds. Where I was positioned on the down slope of this hill I couldn’t use my bipod, so I hurried down hill to a more level spot and a flat rock. They were milling around and ranged them again at 750 yds. As I extend my bipod and position the rifle I keep looking through the big binos and I thought let’s try and see my rifle is up for the challenge. I’ve shot rocks out to 800, but never a deer. 1st shot was just above the deer, I see dirt/dust fly. Reload and send another one. Same spot, more dust. I back the clicks down 2 and send the 3rd round….. bam deer down. As I get some landmarks as to where the deer fell I start walking. 8:10 was shot, I didn’t find the deer till 9:23. The mountain was so steep and so thick of vegetation I couldn’t find the rock formation it fell by. Finally found it…..wheeew. Took some pics and started the long drag out, dropped it off at the butcher and now back at home relaxing. Looking forward to my daughters WT hunt Nov 7.

Deer DRT (dead right there) and recovered Grilling and eating it Don’t see a problem, except some of you guys might need a hug followed by a rub and tug by your 101’s

My son ended up getting some Zeiss 15x56 HD Conquest Binos through the pop a balloon event at Sportsman Warehouse. Looking to fund a rifle build. Asking $1325.00, Brand spanking new. Not looking to get rich, but offering someone some substantial savings, no tax…. Just some great glass.

Well the Zeiss 15x60 didn’t let me down on determining what they were and my 3x18-50 scope allowed me to send lead with confidence. With that being said, the binos will be in the classifieds within 1-2 weeks. Need to pay for for the (4) elk and this deer processing. They shoot lights out, feel really good in your hand. I absolutely love them, have a lot of guns that I just don’t shoot and just need the $$ for other stuff that I probably don’t need😅🤣
