After badly missing a couple shots last rifle season, I need to hit the range . . . and pick up a range finder. Any suggestions as to which one I should go with?

I appreciate everyone's quick responses. I'm leaning toward the Leica 1200 or Nikon 1200. I recently bought a Nikon BDC scope, and like the clarity and low-light performance. I'll have to check out some of the others before I make the purchase.

I bought the book this year before the October hunt. I would highly recommend it. In fact, I loaned it to a buddy of mine after the hunt and haven't seen it since. Maybe I should pick up another copy.

Although I'm new to this site, I've read enough to know this post may open up a huge can of worms . . . but here it goes anyway. My wife recently expressed an interest in drawing a tag for next year's hunt. She's never hunted before and doesn't currently have a gun. I'm thinking of buying a .243, 25-06, or 7mm-08 for her. She's 5'2" and weighs just over 100 lbs., so I don't think she could take much recoil. Any thoughts?

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I think I need to take her out to shoot a few different calibers to see which she is most comfortable shooting.
