I'm color blind as well and can feel your pain. I'm constantly struggling with the read out of most rangefinders. I use the vortex and even though the read out is red I can turn it on it's brightest setting and see it fairly well even in strong sun light. The Bushnell is the easiest for me to see though with the black display.

Thanks everybody for the kind comments. Jaycie got her stitches out on Monday, John fixed the trailer jack, I got new tires, and it looks like my insurance might cover the repairs to the toy hauler. I'm ready to get back in the woods!!!
