Had the pleasure of visiting with Ed yesterday and got a custom map ordered up. Really looking forward to it. Any one looking for a map should check out what he has to offer.

I had them going pretty good this morning until about 7:30. Had one coming on a string but some hens came from the other direction and I never had an opportunity to draw. This morning was beautiful and a great day to end the season even though I came home with my tag still in my pocket.

I agree with all of the above. I started my daughter out with a Mossberg but since she's a little stronger now I built her a 870 youth with a truglo gobble dot scope. I liked it so much myself I built me one just like it since she wouldn't share! I've got great patterns with the Hevi-shot Mag blends. Tried the triple beards, 3rd degree, and just about everything else and other than the hevi 7's nothing came close. This set up with a set of short trigger sticks has proved quite deadly!

Last year my daughter killed her Gould's on May 2nd and the birds were going nuts. A lot of the Tom's were henned up but they were all very vocal. From past experience down south pretty much the entire month of May is good.
