I call it a healthy obsession that makes us strive to do better in everything just to get a chance to get back out and do what we love. Congratulations again buddy, it was an epic season with all of the highs and lows that ended just about perfectly. Beautiful big velvet buck.

Enjoyed reading that very much and huge congratulations to you. Very awesome and to be able to share it with your dad as well is just wonderful. -
In the late eighties and early nineties there were a few Merriams in the Chirachuas. My very first turkey tag in AZ was there. Saw and called in one jake.

Awesome pictures for sure. Mother Nature never fails to impress.

A big second for Kevin at Trinity Art but all of the artists there are top notch. Great atmosphere in the shop and awesome people. Erika has done a few for me, this being the latest.

It makes me sick that we as a collective group seem to have the need to personally attack people without gathering all of the facts to formulate an educated opinion. I am currently undecided on this new group and the plans they are looking into even though I fervently fought most of the same group in 2012. I do believe there is a valid and urgent need for some type of group or funds to be able to react and fight for our heritage and rights when things come up and our AZGFD's hands are tied. I applaud Jay's efforts in getting the information out there as soon as he heard about it and some other members here who are taking the time to make phone calls and gather information. I will continue to mull everything over and dig up as much information as I can prior to coming up with my own opinion and throwing my support one way or another, I would hope that all true sportsmen would do the same. Again not replying to your post Flatlander, you bring up some valid questions that I would like answered as well. -

I really enjoyed this banquet and look forward to the next one. Sorry I didn't win one of Ammon's calls but super happy with the Gibson reproduction I won (not to rub salt in the wound Ammon and hope you picked one up at the East Valley Banquet).

TSS=Tungsten Super Shot-completely different than heavy shot, blends, or lead. Smaller shot=more pellets and the TSS is higher weight density than steel or lead giving you the down range KE needed to be an effective killing load. As with anything you'd need to pattern it but I have seen and heard of very few that have had bad results. I personally would look for TSS-9's if you were going to go all in and it is legal in the state you plan on hunting. TSS used to only be available in hand loads but Federal, Nitro, and APEX all are commercially manufacturing it now.

Its funny, as I was reading I kept hearing the music from ESPN when an amazing play happens....you know what I'm talking about? Too good man, you continue to amaze me with the critters and the patience and all of it to make it happen. A huge congratulations!
