    more cams

Great pictures and thanks for sharing them with us. Some good looking mountain pigs for sure. By having the two cameras set up over the same area do you get alot better pictures or not miss as much? I have never used that technique before and was wondering if it was worth it or not?

2005 Brute Force 650 Price Reduced!

Unfortunatelly not. I hate to get rid of them but the family is growing and we are looking at getting a four seat rail or rhino. The kids are really wanting to get out more and I feel the seats with belts are a better way to go for the little ones.

J, I can't get rid of the trailer unless I get rid of one or both of the bikes. If I do and the trailer doesn't get sold I'll let you know.

    My Spring Hunting Season

Congrats on a such sweet success.
  21. I too thought that it was run very poorly and also agree with your read on the commission and how confused they were. I am happy of the outcome but after sitting through the process I think it could go either way with out any real means. I could not believe that the majority of the time they didn't ever know what they were voting on. I do feel that Martin listen to the public and any other information that was presented and tended to lean towards the common sense side of things. I also believe that Leonard did a good job of notifiying the commission that there was a ton of public outcry even though he did not reccomend a change to the proposed regs. Dick thank you for speaking this morning and even though the commission tried to get you to hurry up you did a very good job bringing up your points. Phil Cramer

    North Kaibab recommendations

Keith I agree with your view about Martin listening and actually voting according to the puplic input, there for a while I didn't think anyone was going to second the motion for pushing the archery hunt back but Martin finally did. I can't speak about the Kiabab either because I haven't read the book! I can't believe how out of touch the commission is with the actual department and the hunting community and this was very apparent when they were talking about how difficult it would be to have some units open while others would be closed because it would have to be printed on the tag...I just about lost it on that one. This was the first meeting that I have attended and thankfully by the time they got to me for my opinion all I had to do was agree with the second option but I was extremely disappointed with the ignorance of the commission with maybe the exception of Martin. I did however think that Leonard did a very good job with addressing the commissioners and letting them know how much public outcry the department had received. I too left at the lunch break so I guess we'll have to wait for the rest of the story. Phil Cramer

    New issue

I for one use salt.....to set my trail cameras on. I have not hunted over it all though I have thought about it. The picture quality that you can get over salt is by far better than a standard trail or even water. The buck that I chased around for several years and finally harvested I never got him on a camera over salt but by being in the woods to check my cameras and replinish the salt I was able to keep track of him. I have also had numerous used up cards and dead batteries because cattle have come into the salt so I don't know how it would be proven that I established the lick for deer or a rancher did for cows! This is unbelievable to me and I for one would like to see some of this data about it actually increasing the success rates. I am a firm believer in using the laws that we allready have established and go after the people who abuse it but we can't let them continue to do this to us. Does anyone know when they will be presenting this to the public or taking public input?
