Last weekend the bucks were just starting to act a little rutty with them beating up trees every five or six steps. I saw one pretty good buck kind of following a couple of does but not really chasing yet. My pops also saw a good buck with a lone doe so I think its close! Phil

I love being able to watch deer that arent' worried about who or what is coming over the next ridge. The way they move and act towards each other is amazing. This time of year is not near as bad as the spring and summer. I just spent a few days down there myself and have had my camp set up since the first of the month and haven't had any problems. I talked to a B.P. agent and he said the traffic is way down compared to the last few years. Go hunt and enjoy yourself, just being aware is the key. Phil

I had a great time with Larry and the guys and can't wait to get back down there. I missed a really nice buck that Rut had glassed up for me that I'll be looking forward to finding in January. Here are a couple of pics of him. Sorry the pictures aren't really clear but we were a long ways off at this point and these are thru the spotter off of a video camera. I sent some trail cam pics to Larry so maybe he'll have time to post some of them. Phil
