Suggestions for a new rifle scope
cramerhunts replied to Rio's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
For the price range I would also look at the Vortex Viper series. Check them out at Cameraland. I bought one from Doug not to long ago and really like it, very crisp and clear and you can't beat the warranty. Phil -
Need two club members for coues lease in mexico
cramerhunts replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I'm one of the club members and can't wait for the time to come to head down! As most of you know Steven knows big coues deer (and for those of you who don't just check out his pictures) so it should mean something when he's going to hunt the ranch himself. Come on Casey don't be scared. Phil -
Yep on both, organ and marrow. Phil

Congrats on the draw Tim and good luck! Looks like its gonna be a great year (hopefully you can get enough time off). Already looking forward to the pictures. Phil Phil, that's one of the perks of being self employed RIGHT ON! Now I am definately looking forward to the pictures! Go get em man. Phil

Thanks for the input on the date, I like to see when bucks are dropping compared to when the bucks drop down where my cams are at....kinda helps go that extra mile or two when I'm out looking for sheds and trying to avoid the snakes. What's up with the bold letters though? Am I missing something? Phil

Great pics Gino! Any idea on the date of the bucks? Phil

10.5x45mm Weaver Grand Slam Binos. SOLD

Bump for the binos. Phil -
Awesome videos Scott! Keep em coming! It looks like you have your cam fairly low to the ground, is this correct? If so is it because of the slope or just better photos with it low? Phil

I have friends that have the ranger, friends that have the rhino, and I myself have the prowler. The prowler has more ground clearance, more engine options, and a very progressive suspension. They are all good machines and it really comes down to preference and what all you're going to use it for. I personally love my prowler and when we are all hunting together the ranger and rhino stays in camp most of the time! Phil

Only a young buck (non-shooter) but check out those eye guards!

Very nice picture! That buck's got some great potential! What camera are you using? Phil -
Happy B-day Jason, I hope you have a great one! Phil

Awesome day in the woods! Its really cool to get multiple years of the same buck. I think I could do without the snake part though. Phil

Ok thanks Mike. Tripod is sold. Phil -
They look like great cameras, but I'm afraid that that's my sediments as well on using them here in AZ.. Still might end up picking up a couple for Mexico, though. I think they'd be safe there. I don't know Scott I had one of my cameras stolen down there last year and so did Scoutm. We still are not 100% sure but beleive that the theif came from a neighboring ranch........I don't think there's anywhere that's totally safe. Hasn't kept me from putting them out though, just spending a little more time hiding and locking is all. Phil

Are you sure you want his Black water their He may have to drive the work truck down Oh RUT and I have been trying to talk him into making the trip down but only if he leaves the sucker truck at home! Shoot we've even offered to put him up for the night if he gets too thirsty! Phil -
The Claw: First time test Impressive.
cramerhunts replied to bobbyo's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I've never really thought too much about my ability to settle down and pick my spot and then follow through with the shot.... until I missed a large buck in Mexico last year repeatedly! After the first shot buck fever set in bad and I was all over the place and having a hard time keeping the moving buck in the scope so ever since then I've been on the fence over getting the claw. Once I saw the new price I just couldn't resist so I placed my order today. I can't wait to get to shooting off of it and hopefully I won't miss on the big one this year! Thanks Cade for giving me the push off the fence with the new lower price. Phil -

Cool pictures! Good luck on your upcoming hunts! Phil

Not only is it a great deal on the binos but you can't go wrong with the viper line of scopes imo. I have the viper 4-12x40 and love it. The clarity, sharpness, and light gathering ability is great and you can't beat the warranty either! Phil

Awesome fish TJ! Sounds and looks like it was a good idea to get away for the day! Phil
