    Black River?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone went up to fish Smallmouth at the Black over Memorial Day weekend? Planning on going this weekend and was curious if the water is high and how the clarity has been? Thanks! Justin

    Black River?

The trip was sensational! 100+ fish a day...here are a few pics of one nights dinner for 3 of us. Water was clear, slightly higher than years past this time of year.

    Black River?

Sweet! Thanks for the replies. How was the water level? Where we pack in, it can sometimes be a little tough to cross if the water is high. Thanks again, glad to hear you had a great time.

    Late Bull

Well, it has been a while since I have posted. I’ve been on the site a couple of times to check all the success. My Nov Coues hunt was tough, had to settle for a spike towards the end of the hunt, 200 yard shot in the head to save meat (won’t post pictures of that bloody mess!). My Dec late bull hunt was a lot of fun, first time being drawn for bull and it was a cold, wet and a tough hunt. I took this 5 x 5 on day 5 at 308 yards after glassing him at the very base of the rim from well over a mile away. On the stalk to close the distance to this bull, we glassed up 2 smaller bulls on the ridge we had planned to shoot from, changing our plans and adding another 30 min or so of hiking. That pack out was brutal! He is not the biggest of bulls, but he had tremendous mass and for a first bull I am excited. I feel very blessed to hunt in such an awesome state! I am looking forward to my Javelina and Turkey tags! Enjoy the pictures! Justin You can see in the first picture a small red circle, that is where the bull was bedded.
  17. Hey all…I’m new to the site. I’ve been playn around on CouesWhitetail for months. I finally decided to get my act together and join. I’m from Show Low and have spent most of my life hunting Muley’s up there. It was not until recently that I began hunting Coues Deer and became addicted to the challenge. This year I drew a November Coues tag and a December Bull Elk (I’ve been putting in since I was 13 and finally blessed…have no idea why it took so long!). Kudo’s to Amanda for a sensational site! I look forward to membership and perhaps getting to know a few of you! Here are a couple pictures from a trail camera in my Nov unit…enjoy!

    New Coues Addict!!

Congrats! That's awsome, you can't get a smile like that just anywhere!
  20. The last picture is of a smaller 3 point playing/chasing a fawn. I have several others of the same buck with a doe and 2 fawn, he appears to be chasing the fawn around regularly. I have another picture at the same hole that has 7 different buck in it. I'm addicted to Coues hunting!
