TEAM TOAD

Quick question....I shoot a 30-06 and have killed plenty of deer with 150 grain. I was thinking about going to 125 grain to reach out there a little? Is it worth it? Will it make a difference? Does anybody else shoot that grain in 30-06??

Yeah it's been a fun year...I still have my 34A November tag and 3 buddies have the December tags NO rattle snakes...thank the good lord! Talked to my buddy who was hunting in Douglas...they killed 3 opening morning...

Well we are back from the hunt.....Man was it HOT!! Can't complain though, we saw plenty of bucks!! My dad never got to pull the trigger but passed on many smaller bucks. We saw some TOADS, but never could get into range. My buddy Brian drove down from Vegas and killed a nice buck opening morning. We had just finished glassing a nice buck that we sent my Uncle Mike after with another buddy (which he never got a shot at) ......anyways, we glassed this buck up shorlty after that. We ranged him at 457 yards and 3 shots later, HE WAS DOWN! He's a heck of a buck. Here are the pictures.

Here are more pictures of my elk. I shot him at 70 yards opening morning. It was an awesome hunt... here you go......ENJOY! He didn't go anywhere. He dropped on the spot. I had him at 200 yards, but was waiting for my dad, to see if he could get into position to shoot him. But by the time my dad had gotten there he had made his way to the bottom of the canyon. I thought we had lost him, so I took off running to see if I could catch a glimpse of him......and what do you know, instead of running down the canyon, he started cutting up my side. We kind of just ran into each other. I came around a tree and there he was looking at me. So as I pulled up my rifle, he spun to take off, but it was too late, the bullet found it's mark and he dropped like a rock.

Getting ready to head out tomorrow for the early rifle hunt... Just wanted to wish everybody luck who's got a tag...can't wait to get out there!! I'll be back next week to post many pictures..we have 4 tags... GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

Well I'm back from the HUNT...what a great time!! We went 3 for 3!! When I have time, I will type up the story!! Here is a picture of my bull... and my dad's bull. I will send more ASAP...

Yeah Yeah...I get crap all the time. It's okay my dad, who has hunted whitetail and muley his whole life had never put in for elk, so I talked him in to put in with me and what do you know first time ever and he draws a trophy bull tag.
