Oh now I understand. I see your old message.

Huh. Is it the FUEL? Mine is the latest model gen 4 I think. If that makes a difference. it is too powerful on the high setting, breaks off lags real quick if I’m not careful
-
I use my m18 fuel impact driver (not wrench). 1/4 to 1/2 anvil adapter is all I need and it buzzes off lugs that were torqued to 100ftlb even on low settings. Haven’t found a reason to get the dedicated impact wrench since the more versatile driver is so good for occasional stuff. Perfect for tightening bolts on bottom plates too. to answer your question , I use the medium setting; if I hold the trigger for a second or two once snugged up it ends up being around 100lbft based on comparing with torque wrench at home . Good enough for the field .

This, optics you get what you pay for.

I have a varmint rem 700 short action you can have for free, I'm in northish PHX I also have a bergara ridge takeoff (new) for 75$

Yep, there's no comparison. Take them apart one after the other and it's obvious why. A lot rougher

"Tracks well", you dialing for running yotes? 😵 (just joshing u) I mostly hunt predators and IMO a BDC reticle or MOA/MIL Christmas tree or hashmark reticle is the best. You never know if something will come within 10 ft (had a lion do that, charging in) or run crossways at 300yd like a yote trying to circle you. 2nd focal plane Zeiss v4 with illumination and a hash reticle is what I use. Anything along those lines. I used to use an ultralight 2.5-10 swfa but not durable enough for going stand to stand in rough terrain. Lost zero bumping around, etc. Fantastic scope but pred hunting in AZ is not what it's for. Need a solidly built scope IMO. I would avoid the lightweight leupolds for that reason. If I had the budget I'd have one of the lower magnification nightforces.

A400, once you shoot one it's hard to use anything else. The gas system and the springs in the stock really temper recoil. Incredible fit and finish. A300 isn't bad I have one as a backup but it's not great, f/f and otherwise

Prayers for you and your family, wish you all the best in this trying time

LTB long range rifle/package or help getting mine dialed in
andyyy replied to richs4839's topic in Classified Ads
Can you consistently shoot submoa at 100/200 yards? That accounts for the rifle +you intrinsic accuracy to a point Is your cheek weld consistent? Account for parallax Holding rifle consistently up and down? Use a scope level to make sure Box test the scope? Vortex sucks diamondback really sucks, this could be your issue. A small dialing error gets big at 600 yards Accounting for angle? Idk where you're shooting. Range that is pretty flat, canyons with big angle between you and target, etc. But angle will affect your trajectory and thus adjustments significantly. -
Do you use up points if you apply for leftovers?

110>>>>axis. Well worth it if you intend on shooting more than casually, having owned several of both, the 110s are keepers. just my 2c that you didn't ask for

Agree with this on so many levels... If DT wins again they'll invent another catastrophe like COVID just to put him down...

Governor's race narrowed. Less than 10k separating them.

I shopped around 3-4 places and progressive was the best for me. A bit under $300/year, full coverage. I have a pioneer 500; not valuable and not fast; that probably affects it.
-
Brand new savage axis. Won it, don't need another. Looks like it's 350+tax at sportsmans, so I think 300$ is fair. Cool little rifle, very lightweight, I'm at cactus and 35th ave.

sold to "Campmeat" a while back, great buyer!
-
what sites are selling this for 800? Just asking so I know what to avoid... It's 490$+tax shipped to your door from costco + their famous warranty. don't even need a membership to buy from the site (5% surcharge)
-
Isn't that what your dealer offered? Curious if they'd still want it at that price... does feel like things cooled off. Wonder if trade in might have tax implications as well

Pm sent I'll take it

Had a good season and now need a taxidermist. I have a lion cape in the freezer and a buck (skinned out head). Thinking of either shoulder or probably rug mount for the lion, and a euro mount for the deer. Any recommendations for either? I tried searching but most of the results were way out of date. I'm in Phoenix but could travel for a good deal or exceptional work. Thank you
-
Not too many pics unfortunately, took too long to find the lion (was calling for yotes with a 16" AR). The deer is no trophy either that's why I want a euro Here's the lions teeth from my check in with gfd. Estimated about 2-3 years old. Not a huge one but one of my life goals as a predator caller was to call one in. Just need to call in a bear now
