Good luck Tommy

I personally would not use one even if I had the means but to each thier own. I have to admit that for me it does take away some of the mystique of Mr. Ulmer's success. I truly do admire Mr. Ulmer's accomplishments as an archer and bowhunter but always had thought, until now, that he was successful in killing big bucks in what "I consider" the old fashioned way. I suppose that with success comes the pressure of continued success when you are under the spotlight the the hunting community and sponsors. I will stick to doing what I love, for the reasons I love it. Granted, this is my speculation and own opinion on this situation and perhaps I am dead wrong................................. At any rate I hope Mr. Ulmer has a speedy recovery.

Gorgeous deer! I cut my "hunting" teeth on those deer, growing up in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. I think that Columbian Blacktails are the 3rd most handsome deer, Coues being #1 and Sitka being #2. Great phots Deerslam,

Great job Keven, The boy is off to a great start, I can still remember the thrill I felt when I got to go on an elk or deer hunt when I was as young as your boy. It is a feeling of pure enjoyment that has stayed with me my entire life thereafter. I have drawn on that feeling many times when times were not so enjoyable, you are not only building memories for your son, you are building strength to sustain in the adult world. Keep up the great work,

South Dakota Whitetail
azpackhorse replied to azpackhorse's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
We had 8 guys so 6 would push with 2 blockers. They had 2 Springer Spaniels (Mitzy and Rusty) that worked really good. The outfitter we hunted with had left his corn standing in belts, he also had some standing Milo. We also hunted some shelter belts. I had never "gang hunted" pheasants before but with enough room like we had and a good safe group of guys it wasn't too bad. Hopefully I get to go back next year. I could not believe the numbers of pheasants this guy has, they are all wild birds too. -
Here is an average South Dakota buck Itchy doe This one stuck her tongue out at me
