Can you explain why it is (in your mind) ok to sit water but not salt? Just wondering. I will obey what ever laws they cram down our throats but I just hate to see any more restrictions on our hunting rights. I would think that there are things that are much more devastating to our deer herds that require the attention of AZG&F. I ended up taking this buck during the November hunt...........after 1025 hunters in October and 1024 on my hunt. I spent more time hiking into the remote area that the cam was set up in than I would've if I did not have the cam. The buck was about a mile from where I spotted him originally, I used my 15 power binos to glass him up....................perhaps we had ought to ban those also?

I tried it once back in my college days

I owned a pair for 2 years, they are nice and compact. The glass is good for the $. The main difference is the clarity around the outer edges. As long as you center the objects in the FOV they are great. They do not gather as much light as the bigger objectives but I was not at all disappointed with the over-all performance of the glass, especially for the price.

I have a model 94 (1962) that I've had for a long time and have been shooting the 150gr Leverevolutions out of it, I can hold about a 4" group at 100 yds with open sights. I think if I was hunting hogs I would go with a 180gr round nose bullet for a little more energy. I have been wanting to shoot a Coues with mine, I even take it with me on hunts but chicken out and grab the .300 WM. Perhaps this year I will follow through with the old Winchester. They are fun rifles that just feel good to shoot.

I drew an Antelope tag in 2001 with 1bp and again in 2005 with 4 or 5bp's, it's just the luck of the draw. Elk tags are totally different story for me

Very, Very nice!! What a great piece of art! -
Nice collection CG! I have been kicking around the idea of trying an electronic caller but just can't get myself to do it, I guess a big part of predator hunting for me is the hand calls! I guess I really ought to try one tho! Here are a few yotes that me and my .300 layed out. Notice the CWT.com hat This one hung up about 250yds out so I stood up and off-handed him while he was attempting his escape! My buddy's son was gagging in this photo from the smell LOL!! A cold unit 1 yote, he circled down wind and was just about mach II and 250yds out when the 150 grainer caught up to him. 36c yote using a call I got from a guy at the Shot Show, called the Twisted Critter. It works

Spirit of the Hunt

I guess for my 2007 season this is the photo that started an obsession with one particular Coues buck, after I loaded the card in my camera and sitting out in the middle of nowhere veiwing this photo and feeling such excitement and anticipation of my upcoming hunt. From that moment on all of my thoughts, energy, and gobs of gas money went into learning this buck. -
Anyone else have this happen?!

Nice bucks guys! Congrats Tommy and Jason! "Now that's how it's done son!" -
Dang Marlon!! You are on fire bro!! That is an awesome buck, congratulations. I know you work your tail off bowhunting and you make it happen!!
-
Very nice buck, congrats! December hunts started on the 14th, might want to check the regs before making a post like that. Peace
-
I guess that would be correct, it only specifies .17 magnum which is a rimfire cartridge.
-
You are allowed to use a 5mm or 22 magnum for Javelina. The only draw permit the .17 is legal for is Turkey. Nice rifle!
-
Well that is one heck of a way to start your bowhunting career off!! Very nice buck, congrats.

"I spend a fair amount of time out in this direction, and I know some of the long time residents of the area. Can anyone give me a better idea of where the actual damage occurred? Is this out west of the old Sasco smelter, or are we talking between there and the river?" It is South of the Redrock Rd. where it crosses the Santa Cruz, not too far from Sasco. -
Now that is cool! what better way to take an American Bison than with a Sharps, nice Scotty! mmmmmmmmmm........4lb T-bones!!
