Fresh off the press!
azpackhorse replied to azpackhorse's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Stag Arms lower, VLTOR E-mod stock, 16" crome lined barrel w/VLTOR flash hider, Troy Industries fold down sights (very nice), VLTOR VIS-2full rail system upper, can't recall manufacturer of the scope mount, but it's way cool. 2 stage trigger, which is surprisingly smooth. VLTOR rail mounted grips. chambered in .223, smoke will be rolling off that barrel this weekend! -

Poultry lice are host specific and cannot be transferred to humans. New Mexico turkeys whooped my butt last weekend, did find an old 45-70 round and a gob of Apache tears though! Congrats on the bird!

Nice bird Sam! Nice job Brian on getting that young man out and letting him experiencing the woods in the spring, nothing quite like it.......except the fall when the bulls are bugling. bowsniper, I think that is really cool the your son is so committed to taking a bird with his bow.

Wild Turkeys in the Santa Ritas??
azpackhorse replied to bmf1321's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
We've seen them between Sonoita and Patagonia last spring, I've also seen them in the Catalinas and Pinalinos. -
sorry Eagar

weener gourd I don't need to go to a gun show to see yahoos like that, we got a bunch of em here where I work. Don't get me wrong, I consider myself a dyed in the wool redneck but some of them guys are just plain over the top. I definately feel more at home in Eagar than Tucson.

Spring Snow Melt and Global Warming
azpackhorse replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Lark is dead-on here, educate yourself. Be sure and define "scientific proof" and "scientific theory" big difference. Global warming is a big dollar business............yep BUSINESS. The Earth has indeed been through many cycles, there's "proof" of that. Ever wonder how all them big ol trees got scattered all around Holbrook??? Talked to a guy there once who said they think they got washed there by a BIG flood..........................hmmmmmmmmmmm. -
Good job! We hunted hard for a couple of days and couldn't find any active birds, we talked the game officer in unit 15 and he said it was a little tough and not much action yet. Got until May 10th though! Lots of water up in the high country this year.

Will the people of the United States of America elect a president that will not pledge allegiance to the country he is elected to serve?????? God help us all

The Dakotas are good little trucks but they have no ground clearance and nobody makes a lift for them. The only thing you can do is a front leveling kit and a little bigger tires. The one I had did good off road except for beating the tar out of the bottom. If yer Dakota doesn't have skid plates already then ya better put some on. I traded mine off on a Jeep BTW Nice little Scout

Help me pick out tires.....
azpackhorse replied to AzPacknHorns's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I've ran BFG A/T's on all of my trucks for years and have had great luck with them, I really like the looks of the new KM2's though, I may have to try a set of those on my Jeep soon Then again, trade in that POS Ford for a real mans truck wanna chain yer Chevy to the old Bronco and see what happens? -
yep, they got em. I also found a gob of elk sign
-
Not that you can hunt them there but I was in unit 31 last weekend and they gobblers were going nuts.
-
Grong orange is fine up north but perhaps a BP green for down south? Hey HEADACHE, judging by your avatar I'm gonna guess that you're Casey's sister
-
I consider this a trophy, my first (and hard earned) brownie Coues shed And who else can say they have Rudolph hang'n on thier wall! First Antelope, camera was at the truck so I had to carry him a while............got a little blood on me couple of bulls from New Mexico, not the biggest but one of my most memorable and physically difficult hunts Another great hunt, the one and only December tag I've drawn. Woke to snow on the ground down south, we watched this buck for a long time before I finally took him.

Nice camo vest and ZEBCO hat huh? I shot instinct with an old PSE bow and I don't think any of my arrows matched

I wear my camo in Walmart in Show Low so I don't stick out in the crowd, do they make camo wife beaters? (tank tops) Casey, I have an old camo 8x10 tarp you could probably cut a hole in for your fat head and use for a shirt.............
