I went with the Larue quick detach mount on my AR-15. I zeroed it and then detached and remounted it and it came right back to zero. I use it in conjuction with the Troy Industries flip up sights. Here is a photo of the scope mount and my cheap Redhead Illuminated 1.5 - 4 scope.

Well I kinda fibbed a little, I applied for 36abc archery Javelina but since they never sell them all I assumed (with confidence) that I got one

Nice looking rig. The last one I built I went with quick detatch scope mount and a close out Redhead 1.5 - 4.5 illuminated reticle cheapy scope. I payed $69 for the scope and I have already beat the crap out of it on my scouting trips but it still holds zero. The bell is now egg shaped. It all depends on what you want it for, if you plan on shooting some distance with it then I would get at least a 6x scope. Most importantly start picking up magazines and ammo now, it's already getting harder to find ammo.
