good story

i think people dont shoot enough before the hunt, they go and sight in the bow and thats it. its a lot different shooting an animal, heart rate way up. i run the 3d course at usery to get my heart rate up and practice shooting like that.

nice buck dude -
interesting. i guess i never think that hard about it. i just put the pin on him and fling. its worked well for me so far. but i practice a lot too.

+1

Me too, that is why my personal limit is 50 yards. Far too many variables past that for all archers on a live target, IMHO. youre confident at 90 but your limit is 50? edit: im also interested in the "variables" that people are talking about? im guessing the animal moving, but thats only 1 variable and thats a chance you have to take, they can jump the string at 30 yards too

its cuz some people had early season bull tags, others did not.

Shooting Bows and pellet guns within a 1/4 mile of a building
trphyhntr replied to wayno945's topic in The Campfire
i called AZGFD about this, and you all know how that goes. talk to 3 different people and get 3 different answers but they told me 1/4 mile even with a bow -
this is precisely what i was thinking. calms your nerves and makes you shoot better too

once its the season i could have a 110 degree fever and my leg in a bear trap, wouldnt concern me.

The bullet! Haha I've seen your shooting Dick! ur 1 cheeky kunt m8 i swear i to god. hey, could be like that guy at the show low cafe that told us he could shoot the head off a sparrow at 200 yards with a bow and 2500 yards with a .22 lol. i told justin about that last weekend when we drove by there

i just have fixed pins, if i had one of those adjustables i'd dial it in to 120 and shoot at elk with it. in the other thread the guy is bragging about 1300 yards rifle shots. what more ethical, a bullet shot in 10mph wind at 1300 yards or my arrow at 100.

try practicing some time and building confidence. no e-brag but when i go to the range i see people shoot worse groups at 40yds than i do at 80. some people just cant shoot worth a darn, some dont even practice. combine that with an adrenaline rush and you end up with a lot of poor shooters. but i agree people should know their limits.
