Proposed fall, spring hunt recommendations for 2022-2023 available for review
Newbie2012 replied to maximus's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Some low threshold numbers on OTC deer. A lot of the hunts will close in August. The hunt I usually go on has 5 tags…lol They’ll be gone in August. -
Yes. There were some changes. I stand corrected. But the guidelines approved today where for Fall 2023 through Spring 2028, so thankfully Spring bear is still approved. I don’t think Spring 2023 hunt guidelines have been approved yet.
-
Fake news. The Spring bear hunts were included with the approved guidelines. Nothing was banned today.
-
Guidelines approved as written. Great showing from the hunter/conservation community.
-
I think you're correct: ArizonaGame and Fish Department Hunt Guidelines for Fall 2023 through Spring 2028 harvest limit will be based on the August through January time period, south of the Colorado River, without established harvest objectives, will be offered according to the table below.
-
Yeah, if the success rate continues its upward trend, the harvest limits will be reached early. Those January hunts will never see the light of day.

Have to agree. Truck tires are expensive now! Had to replace mine on an antelope hunt one year when it developed a large bubble on the sidewall. Tires had less the 250 miles on them. Drove into Discount and got a new one for $26. Total price for all 4 warranties is still less than one brand new truck tire, so I’m ok with that.

Never used the 3 year extended warranty on my Can Am Defender. Guess that’s a good thing, but would love to have the money back. The service plan is a joke, especially if you don’t ride a lot. Your plan will expire before you get your money’s worth. Service your own machine and save the money. It was my first UTV and I didn’t know any better. Suckered me into that one. Live and learn.

I preferred the African Cichlids. Man, they were aggressive when I dumped the goldfish in. Feeding frenzy!

About an inch of wet, slushy snow here this morning.

Truck Paint Coating to Help Prevent AZ Pinstripe

It’s why all my trucks have been white. Not as noticeable. -
Wow! Definitely would be happy with that! Haha

Usually late April, early May.
-
Dude you got railroaded! I’d be livid!!
-
“You killed a buck the night before the opener in 3A3C. Might not have gotten caught, but many know what you did." “Let me be very clear. I have no hard evidence to support any claim that anyone has poached a deer. If I did, it would have been reported to AZGFD. Nor have I ever made any public claim on this site stating that trphyhntr poached a deer. In as much, I will not be elaborating any further on any poaching incidents.”

So who put in for the meager leftover tags that were due today? I threw my envelope into the mix for a final Hail Mary!
-
Still a classic!
-
Usually pretty fast. Probably yesterday. The leftover list is already updated. Only those poverty Kaibab/Strip hunts are available.
-
Thanks for sharing. Good stuff. I’ve hit one elk in my lifetime, about 15 miles south of Winslow on 87. Not fun. Really messed up the truck bad!

Those late archery bull tags are the same late archery bull tags from the normal draw. Some guys like to hunt them, some don’t. Yeah they’re not for everyone, but calling them garbage is short sighted. They’re leftover from the Hopi allocation, but they're the same tag that Tom, Dick and Harry got from the normal draw. Might want to research more. A unit wide hunt that cost me zero points and gets me out in the woods? Sign me up. I asked a simple question and for some reason you made a personal crusade about it, but Ok.
-
It’s only $0.58! haha
-
Fill out app, write a check, put a stamp on the envelope and drop it in the mailbox. Yeah…too much work. 😀 Zero chance really, but hey, why not try.
-
Yup. Living in Flag, it’s worth a shot!
-
Happens a lot. Very few come back on to update their hunt.
