That’s a quick way to get a ticket. There’s an OTC deer hunt in that unit prior to his hunt. Can’t fly when there’s another big game hunt going on, regardless if his elk hunt hasn’t started.

For physical maps, can’t go wrong with Flatline. They are pretty awesome and waterproof. They also have a digital version, but I prefer an actual map when out scouting/hunting as it gives me a “big picture” look. Yeah, it’s a roller coaster for sure. It’s why I rarely log on and check. Only when I buy more shares do I see the action. Like other Vanguard funds, VTI share price has doubled in 5 years. I’ll continue to accumulate, albeit with less buying power, but if it doubles again in 5 years, I can tell my boss I’m on permanent vacation! 🎣🏕

VTI is my highest per share in any of my investments. It sits in my personal Roth and I keep accumulating shares, making the max contributions allowed per year at my age. It’s been very good to me.

Just remember, you have to start taking minimum distributions at age 72 if you don’t start sooner to avoid penalties. (Roth)

That’s a good point. It takes discipline and unfortunately, most people put their retirement strategy on the sidelines. I talk with a few coworkers and some say they don’t even participate in the company retirement plan! Our company matches 5%. Free money and they’d rather not mess with it. It’s shocking!! Free money! Short term losses, mean long term gains. Expand your data range and you’ll see even during downtrends, the market is always in an upward growth trend. Time in the market beats timing the market. Heres ten years in the S&P 500. Even the Covid dip hasn’t stopped the upward trend.

Try readjusting the diopter. I hadn’t adjusted it for the longest time. There was a noticeable improvement.

That’s basically what I do, but to me there’s now a noticeable difference from when I was younger. It seems I just can’t get that sweet spot on the focus wheel anymore. Things just aren’t crisp like they used to be. Very frustrating.

I don’t how you do it, but I just can’t get comfortable or get the best focus. I only really need glasses for reading, so it’s just easier for me to take them off when I’m behind the binos.

If you’re over 40 and diagnosed with presbyopia, LASIK cannot prevent the natural aging process of the lens and may not be effective. We all encounter this after 40. My eye doc told me there’s a different procedure for presbyopia. Just something to ask during your LASIK appointment. I can’t glass with my glasses on, so for now, I take them off and just kinda live with it.
