So I drew the same tag. I feel really lucky as it was my first choice and I only had 2 bonus points built up, as well as I missed the original deadline and luckily put in during the extended couple of days that Game and Fish gave! I'm probably going to get a few people cursing me for that but I understand how lucky I was! I've hunted 27 and 1 during the late rifle hunt with my brother and Dad previously but never the archery hunt. Really excited and can't wait to get out there and start looking. Good luck to all. Greg

Great looking buck....Congrats!

glad you're okay. I had the ramps and loaded my quad in the back of my truck that way for a couple years and every single time, I had the same thing go through my mind....there were a couple times where the ramp was pushed off by the back tire right as I got it into the truck bed and so I was lucky. +1 on the trailer....much safer.

3D Printing....have you seen this technology?
nohoch replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in The Campfire
Yep, it's pretty amazing. I work the construction industry managing 3D design and construction and we've seen these type of printers and they can be used to mock up full size products....it's pretty awesome the things you can do with technology. -
Congrats Norm. Great bulls.

Nissan Titan - Sticker on the backwindow with PREDHTR license plate. I pulled up next to you at Maricopa Hwy and I-10 and then drove behind you over to Price then the 101. You live in Maricopa? I'm in The Villages and work at Ray/101.

I agree with what has been said already. I started my morning off by reading through the Outdoorman's Resource Guide that I just got in the mail yesterday....some monster animals were taken and it pumped me up to read about them being DIY hunts and even the article on the left over tag success. Reading those DIY stories shows that there are plenty of trophy animals in our beatiful arizona lands that if you put in the time and work, you have a chance at them. Thanks for the magazine.....don't recall how I even signed up for it, but sure glad I did.

I was looking back through some trail cam pics from a 3 years ago of a great group of bucks that we had captured on camera in september and we had the october rifle hunt. Hunted hard that year but couldn't find any of these bucks that year. Haven't looked at the pictures since then until yesterday. Now looking at these, I realize that these guys all survived and we found them 2 years ago and chased them all over the hills. I got a couple quick shots off at the biggest guy as he jumped up infront of us but couldn't hit him, but I did end up taking one of his buddies that was right behind him, who is in a couple of these pictures. Seeing these got me really excited about hunting this year as I believe this big guy is still out there as we saw him last year but couldn't get a shot on him. Enjoy. Have a great 4th of July. I really like this picture. Great buck

Yeah, they used a picture of him on the news that showed him with a buck he had shot.....looked like a coues. He's got to be a member on here. Shooting the dragons breath round, in AZ with so many other fire going on right now, makes you wonder what on earth he was thinking. Just sad.

Unreal... can't imagine what those guys look like now if they haven't been taken yet. What about the elk headgear in your member photo? Did you kill that one or are those sheds?
