Great pic and story. I had never thought about using a pack in that way. My son is almost 4 and I have been thinking about getting him out with me and the pack idea will be great. Thanks for sharing.

Just spoke with my Dad, he said the water is up to the concrete boat ramp at Soda Canyon, with the Gila bank to bank running through Thatcher.

Great buck. Welcome to the site.

Nice one Rusty. That was a fun hunt. I'm glad I spotted him before he walked away and you were able to drop him. Let's hope I get some luck tomorrow and find one like him.

Awesome trip. Sounds and looks like you had a blast. I went to school in southern utah, Cedar City and absolutely loved the amount of places to go and enjoy the outdoors around there. Thanks for the post.

That was awesome. I did a 50 mile hike as a teenage as well, we hiked the blue river area. Some really good memories and am greatful for the adult leaders who were willing to take us. That time on the hike was when I reall was bitten by the 'outdoor' bug and I've loved camping, hunting and most anything outdoors ever since.

Add me to the list. We have the Oct 23-29th hunt....my brother, a friend from work and I. We've had this hunt for 3 years now.

I got drawn for a november white tail hunt in unit 24B. I've never hunted there before and don't know much about it. Does anyone have any suggestions for that area?

Hunting in a unit where I haven't gone before is a good question. Main answer is location. I was living down south and hunted down in 36 areas before because they were close where I lived and now I live in Mesa and I wanted to try and get somewhere closer so that I could get out and have more scouting opportunities and 24B is close to Mesa where I live.
