My dad recently purchased those and one of the Vortex Viper 20-60x80 spotting scopes. We went out shooting a couple weeks ago and they were awesome. Great optics and very clear. Now I just have to talk him into 'upgrading' here in a year so I can ask for an early inheritance!

Nice. I was wondering how that was going to turn out. Stinks it still cost him $300, but I guess that's better than not ending up with them.

Most likely that would be me .....I live in boulder Creek there at Sossaman and Guadalupe.....I need to get a new sticker....while hunting I had too much loaded in the truck and it rubbed part of the letters off.

Congrats....Those are two great bucks.

I'd back you up on that one.....Thatcher, born and raised. Parents still live there and now 2 brothers have moved back there to live.

Local Lady Coues Hunter Needs Your Help!
nohoch replied to gilaarcher's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Good luck Marcy. You've got my vote and as many others as I can find. My wife and I were at your place about 6 weeks ago asking about bows and you allowed us to do some shooting in the indoor range. It was awesome! My wife's only experience with a bow was in gym class in jr. high. She is hooked! She kept hitting the 3d javelina you have in there and she still hasn't stopped talking about it. Thanks for your help that day and good luck. -
That's awesome. He sure is wide. Congrats on the buck and on the baby on the way!

Now you can't tease us and just show pictures.....how about some stories of those monsters..........awesome looking bucks. Were they all taken this year?
-
Found it.....Congrats Johnny, that's a great buck.

Congrats Lance. That last buck that you killed is un-freaking-real!! I would have buck feaver for a lifetime if I ever saw one like that, let alone had a shot at him. Way to get it done on some great bucks.

This is the buck I shot opening weekend of our hunt. After 2 days of nothing but does, we jumped 2 good bucks and were making our way around to them when we jumped this guy and "the biggest buck I've ever seen".......I shot 2 times as the big guy and missed and then shot this one. He's got some unique character to him....a very small/compact rack, but realy good mass. I'm happy with him. This is a buck that my buddy shot Tuesday morning.....1st shot made contact at 762 yards! and he didn't move much after that and my buddy finished him off from 350. He was with a much larger buck as well, but from 700+ yards I guess you can't be picky as to which buck you get. We met up with some real great guys from "the other" website and hunted with them hard for a couple days. They had 1 tag and between the two of them and tagged out opening morning. They then stuck around for 2 more days to hunt with us and be some extra pairs of eyes. Chad and Bella (Cred88 at Rut-n-Hard) They showed up a couple places we hadn't hunted before and it paid off. All in all, it was a good hunt and a great time out in the woods. Greg

Great write up and congrats on a very nice buck. Question for you.....how do you like the trailer/camper that you took? I've seen that at Sportman's for the last few months and always wondered how well it performed. Again, congrats on a the adventure.

Awesome. Congrats. That had to be a great trip and one you'll both remember.

That's amazing. Those aren't small trees and to think that wind can just snap those like twigs....that's pretty amazing. Great pics.

Great write up and great hunt. Its experiences like these that I read about that just make me really excited for my little guy (4 year old) to get older so that I can begin to have experiences like these. I remember the outdoor/hunting experiences I had as a child with my father and those are some great memories.

Congrats, that's a nice looking buck. Wish I was knocking down deer like that when I was a youth!
