I had a WT tag there last year and I could not get away from them! Everywhere I glassed or walked I ran into em'. I honestly saw more sheep than Coues deer. They didnt seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed either. A group walked up on me after a mid day shot at a rock and they stood there for twenty minutes at twenty yards....i even talked to em and they didnt take off.

not a problem, glad everyone enjoyed them. I have probably 200 pictures of him and one ram very close to the same size. We hunted him last year but failed to get him, so I imagine he is probably still roaming the hills. We had scouted hard and he was the best that we found. As for his score I would bet high 160's is a bit off. The ram that ended up getting harvested was considerably smaller, noticable from a distance, and scored a very nice 168. A pretty good group of guys that took a look had him at mid to high 170. It was my first time on a sheep hunt so I cant say much for myself on score.....the pictures range from 15ft to 30 yards. I have alot more with a group of Rams including him and the one taken from about 400 but obviously not as good quality. -

hector, i didnt get a chance to pick up your call the other day, been pretty sick. It looks like Tim did a great job on that lever gun for ya. Im sure you will love it, took my dad out with his the other day and got him a pig. 150yrd shot with those open sites and that 45 70 sure did its job + quite a bit extra. Sweet sweet guns! i think im gonna have him build me one up in 44 mag. If anyone has any questions on Grizzly custom, Tim who builds the guns is a hunting buddy of mine and have known him for a long time. He will also be at NRA show. Builds great quality levers and bolts including sweet scout rifles.

Gary, My prayers are with you. For you who dont know Gary is a heck of a guy, exchanged info on hunts we both had tags for without ever caring if another person who he didnt know at the time was in the area he was. It is probably because of him that i got the bull i did on my hunt.....200 yards from his the next day. I have been in something similar even at my young age, it lasted over a year and was for reasons much less serious as yours. i would be glad to talk on the phone sometime or get out scouting and talk. Also i still have your map i gotta get back to you, so theres a good excuse. I hope things turn up, my girlfriend and i will pray for you and your family and i wish you the best. -Tim

So with little to nothing to hunt for a while my mind is going over things, were to try scouting, previous hunts and just thinking about the slow season. And it hit me today...........Why is there no unit 14?????!!! everything is consecutive from 1 to 47 BUT 14 seems to be missing.....

Has anyone else ever wondered???

ya i have not quite mastered that whole shed finding thing, good at the hunting part but not finding but alas i guess its almost flathead time. -
actually out of staters with max pts would not HAVE to enter for a HUNT, they could simply grab another point with the buying a point deal.
-
+1 i shot my first one when i was 13 with a 357 at 35 yards. Any quality jacketed hollow point will lay em out. Pretty much any round you would use for self defense will have good qualities. Corbon's will make a nasty hole.

It is in fact the old 2200. I have one myself, still one of my favorites and i like it better than the new 2200.
-
ive gotta add scouting, depending on tags drawn. Also watchin bucks before they drop the headgear and checkin out new areas. Spent alot of time last year doing this and could not believe some of the new areas i found.

lookin like the super bowl for the cards now!!!
