I have pondered this question for quite some time. And i guess there isnt really much way to tell for sure. But has anyone ever wondered what the Bull on the yellow elk crossing/warning signs would score? i meant it may be only a foot or foot and a half tall but if he was lifesize with that rack, crap he has some mass and really typical. I think i would be happy with a bull like that first or second day with my tag. So whats everyone think, I guess if there is a math wiz here we may get a close guess, according to ratio's and all. My guess is 386 3/8".

Hey i gotta occupy my time somehow, im gonna get someone really good with numbers to figure this out. Problem is the bull is quartering away pretty steep so thats gonna throw some more math in. If folks could see what goes on in my head i think most would stay away from me, theres scary stuff up there! But thats what happens on long drives at night in elk country surviving on coffee alone

If it happens it sounds like a good time, i know he is comin down for the elk hunt and the quest for a Coati...continued, for two weeks, end of nov and beginnin of december so i dont know if thats gonna effect the dogs idea. Guess we'll find out.

Have ya talked to Timmy? He has build some pretty dang light rifles, dunno what he has done on a 600 action but be worth a call, Im pretty sure he could give ya some guidance on it.

Ive got a 1.5 year old GSP and am tryin to think of the best way to get him shed hunting. he does real good with birds and im still workin on that but would love to have em help out shed hunting, cuz he comes everytime anyways. anyone got any good tips or ideas that yal have used and had success with?

There is actually a screwdriver specifically for that type of bolt they use. I dunno where ya can get it but its the same one used on security doors......dont ask how i know I really think he is bigger than two fifty i mean look at the mass. and he has got some length to, not to mention he is very symettrical. PS, ive seen a five point shed that would probably go better than 330 with a matching side.

What type of call? a buddy of mine has been makin trips down from montana to get one, it was his goal before moving that he didnt accomplish. Since i got mine we been hittin a few spots just moving through creek bottoms finding nothing but sign.

thats the first one i shot, and farther north than i figured on seeing one. Definately had a smell to em but nothing bad at all, no where near a piggy. never heard of em comin to a call though, thats interesting.

Na Tony i aint taken it that far.....That bull deserves to live a bit longer, after all i mean his genes are on the side of every road in elk country, every single one has the exact same characteristics! Im thinkin the sign shouldnt make em look so big, someones gonna see a rag horn and not slow down cuz it dont look like the bull on the sign.

seen one that big or maybe a 1/2lb bigger. but didnt have my camera, had a tag and no bow cuz it was noon and i was just checkin water for track. 30 yards and no bow! in 6b. so lets hear what unit.

Ill will be down there, and not so much for the bands this year. Last year was good with Western underground playin, little depressing with out chris though. Drivin a single cab white dodge, bowhunter stickers on back, brown CWT large sticker cross the tailgate. Anyones welcome to stop by and have a few.....dozen. Why should the above be anymore of a problem than when a hunt for a single species takes place in units with both deer and elk in it?? -TONY More folks in the field. Uneducated deer tag holders seing folks driving out with "350" coues deer", i just make it a habit to never underestimate stupidity.

I cant see them putting any deer hunt together with any elk hunt let alone bull. That just seems like it could cause problems, "well i thought it was a big deer" or "Well mr. officer it looked like an elk to me". Isnt there a rule in the regs stating that during a General elk season or a general javelina season that you cant hunt anything else except with a shot gun, or somthing like that?

WAIT WAIT WAIT! So i drew a 21 bull tag with the specific purpose of not having to hunt with 10000 other people and they are gonna throw a coues hunt in on me? I really hope thats just some units cuz that would billyjack my hole plan.
