Ever see a Rattle Snake being eaten.....
coueschaser3 replied to scoutm's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Thats not a coachwhip due to its body size/girth...prior to being full, and head shape. Ive had coachwhips, two california kings i have now, a mexican king and a 3 desert kings. Im leaning twards the mexican due to its almost totally black look but it could be a desert with less pattern, or white pattern. But in that case the photo would have to be taken in extreme southern arizona. Not all kings have bands, some have stripes, some are solid some a specked and phases are present in most sub species. Best bet is mexican/desert king depending on location of the photo, as previously guessed. Also FYI the Mexican, desert and california king are all subspecies of the common king. technically all common kings in that case so my guess is common king i win. -

Mineral attractant?
coueschaser3 replied to coueschaser3's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
So does that mean when I find it next weekend I can keep it??? matt, Yes it does mean that, but when you are stuck at the bottom of the canyon from he** with two broke ankles instead of one, the helicopter ride will cost much more. assuming they find you -
Collared Dove
coueschaser3 replied to peckl1's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I just recently found a ton up in the pines on one of my scouting trips. They were everywhere, havent seen em in town yet and it aint worth the trip to shoot em, nor the hike in. and if they taste anything like dove it definately aint worth it. -
Mineral attractant?
coueschaser3 replied to coueschaser3's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
thanks for the suggestions. ive got the deer cane out right now and thought about the rock but id would have had a heck of a pack in with 15 more pounds in my pack. Ive got it in a beastly he** hole where i watched a huge buck last year actually accidentally found a large heavily used bedding area so ive got it set up. Probably takin a rock in on the next trip. After that hike if someone finds my camera they almost deserve it. -
What rifle are you taking on your elk hunt?
coueschaser3 replied to Stray Horse's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Rifles inc. Model 700 .300 weatherby . -
I had mine on a seep for the last 2 months, checked it every week averaging 100 pics a week. left it out three weeks last time but those three weeks got constant rain and i had less pics in that set than in any of the 1 dry week sets. depends what you got it on. If its a attractant its probably constantly used if its water the dryer the better for # of photos, never tried a trail so i dont have any advice on that one.

+1 ive mentioned that repeatedly, i just got sick of doing so.......also folks, waste of game meat comes into play assuming ya dont eat it. and it is 4 per year with the blacktailed. -
according to the wording in the regulations yes. It states that any bear except sows w/ cubs is legal. on the other hand for lions any lion is legal except females with spotted kittens or spotted kittens, it actually states for lion that you cannot. But hey im sure theres plenty of black dogs in guadalupe and ya dont needa spend so much gas that way

wow i thought that was a black lab.... I got one on my cam this morning that'll beat it. its about the size of a chow but the pics a bit washed out ill try and get it up. got a big cinnamon-ish bear to, and what looks like one pawing my camera.

as for collection lion pee....i really have no idea nor do i wanna. Fogger, Obviously whom ever deleted pictures and threw salt on top of his corn or whatever thinks they have more of a right than he does, you DO NOT touch other people stuff. Its a respect issue if the guy left a note and they worked somethin out or shared scouting secrets and ideas ok, but no thats not what happend. If he thinks he has more of a right then i believe josh has the right to move deeper and do what is in his power to "vacate" his previous location, whatever that may mean. You dont delete peoples stuff to send a message, i know the guy and he wouldnt do that to someone elses camera, probably more likely he'd help em out. Just my honest opinion i know what id do, and somethings will shift where wildlife is constantly hittin like i said shovel and lion pee. -
here's one of em in the junipers.

I bet you would like some fruit in you drink! Thats ok, even with a fruity drink i wont break my ankle

Ya hector he knows me, worked with em at sportsmans to. If you see his other post he unfortuneately got his cam card erased so im runnin up to pull my camera and throw it a bit deeper in. seems like now tags are out folks are gettin the itch to screw with cams. He had some nice stuff comin to that cam.

Well that saves me the walk from the fine gun room to archery to find out what ya got on the camera. That sucks but at least ya still got the camera. id say scrap it and get a bit deeper in but not to far.....maybe sabatoge your old salt spot. here's the idea.... http://www.predatorpee.com/Merchant2/merch...tegory_Code=MLU -
Saw two last week in the junipers just above a pear filled canyon and alot of sign in and out of the canyons. Most of the scat has bugs/beetles and hair in it where im at. Did find a smaller one down way low into the pears about a month and a half ago.

If the O is for octagon barrel the 100% condition is 475. -
Need another Gun Value
coueschaser3 replied to GameHauler's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
GH, The blue book lists a 1894 CS but no OS. The CS is the same as the C it is a carbine and only chambered in .357/.38spl. 18.5" round barrel, straight hand stock and a squared lever. The gun is listed at $435 in 100% condition and $350 at 98%. Was OS a typo? Got any more specifics on the gun or does this description match? -

coueschaser3 replied to peckl1's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
awwww folks its just an innocent little black tailed.....he wont hurt ya. actually black taileds tend to be a very dosile snake for a rattlesnake. Never had one strike at me and held quite a few. -
the first section all but bigfoot dont exist, the rest have some potentially scary stuff. But in all truth the famed bigfoot, or big wooley as i call him is a dosile creature and a heck of a hunter. He just dont like botherin with the road huntin crowd, get out there and yall may run into him some day stalkin up a big ole bear.

I dont think he is asking if he can give his tag away or trade it back. but rather use one. I dont think so but honestly i dont see the differnce in gettin the left over and hunting it yet still only taking one deer. It seems the issue should be the same as having an archery otc tag and having a rifle draw tag but still only taking one deer. yet you cannot double dip on applications either so i really doubt it. Call AZGFD headquarters and ask.
