    Marriage Retreat this weekend

Are 1 and 2 not the same? Yup.....the same!!! Churches and marriage......both way out there at like......2000 yards, I'll go ahead and sneak up and get closer and some will shoot from a long distance....to each their own.......I do love hunting and fishing with my wife and some of my most spiritual experiences have not been in a church....which I do attend regularly. And my church donation makes it easy to tell all other door bangers that I already contribute to a reliable non-profit organization! #1 and #2 Digging that grave for my father in law along side my son was pretty spiritual experience as was building his casket....neither happened in a church!!! Lots of great church experiences outside the walls of a building! Hope you had a great time at the retreat.......can't knock somebody trying to make life better!!!

    Life

Art Dillman became my father in law back in 83! Spent many outings hunting, grilling and shooting a lot of bull! Art passed away June 1 peacefully at the age of 82! Worked til the day he died! Hard nosed as hockey sticks and give the shirt off his back for you! Art asked me 5 years ago to build a casket for him and then two years ago he scared the crap out of us so I hurried home and put a casket together for him! RIP old man, you were tired and have moved on to the other side!

    Life

Art didn't want a viewing so I just kept the lid one piece!Building a casket for someone you care about is a pretty spiritual experience and in this case since he was still alive fun cause I got to send him pictures! The hinges on the other side are just loops of rope stapled in! My boys, Penny's husband and I dug the grave and covered it up! Nothing on that casket is patented so feel free to steal any ideas, I just tried to make it fit the man!!!

    Grand Canyon RV Parking

Have been to the Grand Canyon multiple times but just curios, is there anything keeping me from finding a flat spot off the main highway and parking my camp trailer for three days pre Canyon Park area? I know there are several dirt roads just prior to the park entrance!!

    Resources for wolf debates

The Diamond A Ranch down the road had a full-time wolf trapper for years, and Monroe Dunagan, who lived about 12 miles south of Animas was also a very active wolf trapper. Dave Dunagan had photos of his dad with lots of wolves and wolf pelts. If you read J. Frank Dobie's biography of Ben Lilly, you will see that he killed a LOT of wolves up in the Gila, pretty much right where they are being reintroduced in New Mexico. Many of the wolves being reintroduced are descended from wolves captured in Mexico because they had already been extirpated from the U.S. by the time the Fish and Wildlife Service began their restoration program, but there were already quite a few in the U.S. in zoos that had been bred in captivity. I was just referring to what their own publications states as far as the Mexican Gray Wolf is concerned and besides Ben, you know as well as I do that bootheel of New Mexico...aka Gadsen Purchase......yep....Mexico!!! As for the wolf population and it effects of the herds of elk in Wyoming and Montana....there must be alot of "fake news" about what those populations are or aren't doing to them!!! Just hope they don't try to bring back the velociraptor........I don't want to sit in my camp and hear that sound ever!!!
