Where am I? CATWALK.....Glenwood NM!
Non-Typical Solutions replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in The Campfire
I gotta say, after passing this place for over 50 years it didn't disappoint me. Wish I had gone earlier when more of the original walk was there. My wife and I went past the newer version of it following the old walk that is missing in many places. Because of the monsoon season it is running pretty good right now and you gotta keep your eyes peeled for clouds and weather reports! Pretty impressive freak of nature canyon! -
Concho area came out with the first initial confirmed case........I have watched those dogs work their way across the Snowflake area and are now past city limits sign on the west side!!!! Varmints!!!!!

That tile looks really good.......my tile skills suck! I put tile in our kitchen 20 years ago and it has cracks, etc......wondering if I could try again with this stuff and do a better job than the first time around!

I am severely retro.......wood and real wood only......I love the look and I love the sound!!! You can borrow my saw and anything else you need and then let me know how it goes before I rip out the carpet and tile! Daisy is gone and so are all the kids so traffic will be..........minimal!!! Pick the right weekend and I will even come and supervise the grand kids while you do all the work!

I was hoping someone out there has my tag stuck to theirs too!!!! Course I didn't get drawn but with that kind of mojo going on out there.....it could happen! Very cool story!!!

So this journey started 9 years ago when Cole wanted a dog..... We got Daisy as a pup! I didn't want to leave her penned up in the yard or tied up so I told my boss at school I needed to bring her to school to train her as a service dog!!! Last year Daisy got her own full page in the Jr. High year book! Not only did she become everybody's best friend at the Jr. High but she also became a frequent visitor to my wife's 5th grade class as a reward for good behavior!! Just recently Grandpa Dillman passed away and we went down for a visit and on the drive down to St. David I got to thinking that Daisy might just be good company for Grandma so I got permission from Cole who is on his mission in Detroit to leave Daisy with Grandma! So full circle has come around, all those years of training as a service dog have come to pay off, Grandma has some company at home and Daisy has somebody to take care of!!!

I remember as a kid fishing the only pond around down in southern New Mexico......Larue's pond, which doubled as the local swimming hole!!! Had bass, blue gil and catfish in it. For the lack of bobbers I cut my own out of a stick, wrapped it with line and tied it off for my bobber.....good times!!! And yes to the clear bubbles for dragging flies......great for top fishing and long casting!!

Yep, that one is still a mystery............and there are some pretty sketchy home owners out that direction......I live on the west outskirts of city limits.....not to say we don't have some out that direction either!!! -
