There's been a quiet coupe d'etat to overthrow the president of the United States for a year and we're talking about the proper name to call a javelinaWere not allowed to talk politics. Even mention it and the thread gets sent to the dungeon. You better settle down before this one disappears to..... im betting site traffic dipped after that. You would lose that bet. there was a lot of people that only posted in those threads and i never see them posting anymore. Yup, that is true. Interesting how little traffic the dungeon gets though. Honestly can't really figure that out. Maybe it will pick back up next election cycle? Who knows.... Overall though, the site membership and traffic has continued to steadily grow. Pretty much has evolved into THE Arizona site. Even with the sniping & crap (VAST majority 'tongue in cheek' and harmless & entertaining), it's a pretty darn good group of dudes here. Because you need a password and it doesn't show up when click new content. If it did it would get tons more And it sensors any photos or video clips too..........too many soft hearts out there!! CWT does a great job of keeping it family friendly most days and I appreciate that!!!!

http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2017/10/controversial_dr_seuss_mural_t.html y Ray Kelly rkelly@repub.com A mural depicting Theodor Geisel's "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street" will be removed from The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum in Springfield after complaints that it included a "jarring racial stereotype." The decision came hours after a trio of children's authors declinedto take part in the Springfield Children's Literature Festival because of the mural, which they described as "deeply hurtful." A statement issued by the Springfield Museums on behalf of Dr. Seuss Enterprises on Thursday night stated that the Mulberry Street mural will be replaced "with a new image that reflects the wonderful characters and messages from Dr. Seuss's later works." "This is what Dr. Seuss would have wanted us to do," according to the statement. "His later books, like 'The Sneetches' and 'Horton Hears a Who,' showed a great respect for fairness and diversity. Dr. Seuss would have loved to be a part of this dialogue for change." When the mural will be removed and what characters will be featured in its place was not revealed. The full statement read: Theodor Seuss Geisel wrote under the pen name Dr. Seuss during his lifetime from 1904 - 1991. Dr. Seuss created an enormous body of work including children's books and political cartoons. Dr. Seuss was a man of his times. He was also a man who evolved with his times. Dr. Seuss's own story is a story of growth with some early works containing hurtful stereotypes to later works like The Sneetches and Horton Hears a Who! which contain lessons of tolerance and inclusion. It is in that spirit that Dr. Seuss Enterprises and the Springfield Museums listened to the concerns voiced by the authors and fans and have made the decision to take down the Mulberry street mural at the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum and replace it with a new image that reflects the wonderful characters and messages from Dr. Seuss's later works. This is what Dr. Seuss would have wanted us to do. His later books, like The Sneetches and Horton Hears a Who, showed a great respect for fairness and diversity. Dr. Seuss would have loved to be a part of this dialogue for change. In fact, Ted Geisel himself said, "It's not how you start that counts. It's what you are at the finish." The artwork appeared in Theodor Geisel's first Dr. Seuss book, "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street," which was published in 1937. Authors Mo Willems, Mike Curato and Lisa Yee of Northampton, who signed the letter and posted it on social media, said they found part of the mural "deeply hurtful" and would not attend the Oct. 14 event. (The festival has since been canceled.) "... we recently learned that a key component of this institution honoring Dr. Seuss features a mural depicting a scene from his first book, 'And to Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street,' and within the selected arts is a jarring racial stereotype of a Chinese man, who is depicted with chopsticks, a pointed hat, and slanted slit eyes. We find this caricature of 'the Chinaman' deeply hurtful, and have concerns about children's exposure to it." The character is described by Seuss in the 1937 book as "a Chinese man who eats with sticks."

I just read it again. Good writer but E. Mac Pherson was much better known for his Western and WWII pinup art. Book lacked a lot from content to research of dates and such. The chapter on the beautiful Sonoran Senorita is my father's sister Grace, whom Bernard married in 1945. I'm digging deeper into Bernard Jr's life. He was a B-17 pilot, shot down over Africa early in the war and sole survivor of the bombers crew. Captured by the Germans, he came back to health in a an enemy field hospital. While being transported to Europe in a German Submarine, the vessel was depth charged and forced to surface by a British Destroyer. He resumed piloting B-17s out of England and was shot down again over Germany near the end of the war and held prisoner. Again, the crews sole survivor. 15168174521481922054593.jpgIMG_20180124_111126116.jpg Bernard Gillespie Jr is seated center with his crew of the Tanta Liza, December 1944. His awards included The Silver Star, Air Medal, Purple Heart and EAME Campaign Ribbon with two battle star devices. He carried a lot of PTSD and survivors guilt and died in 1962. 46e7fbfe26d8fd3dd2b2b0e35198fb2e.jpg gillespie-126-ardis.jpg Cool photos of the real deal.......

What's worse is my bishop last month asked when I was going to start paying tithing online My only draw mistake was transposing numbers on a paper application, which drew me a 36B tag which I knew nothing about, which led me to google, which led me to CWT and the rest is history. Good luck on the draw and may your CC get rejected!!! The system is always working perfect when I get a tag!!! -
