This topic brings back memories of late elk hunt in 3A at the tree farms......we had scouted it out and had no clue as to the zoo we were going to encounter opening morning! We had pulled off a two tracker to walk down a ridge to position ourselves for where we "thought" the elk were going to come through according to our pre season scouting trip. As we are getting out of the truck another truck pulls up behind us and we tell them where we are going as we pointed exactly the direction we were headed. They said thanks and then proceeded to drive cross country exactly where we had pointed we were going Our only consolation was that there happened to be a G$F sitting up on top watching and they bailed off and caught up with the idiots!!! They were lucky they didn't get a .270 hole in their tailgate!!! Course then I would be the one having a conversation with the law!!!

I honestly don't even know who hardin is because I don't watch any NBA.....but I really enjoyed Sean Elliot as he came through!!!! Kinda dating myself, but honestly since Olson left it has been pretty tough to pay atttention to any AZ basketball, should be exciting to see if Hurley can get the forkies to the next level! If you get a chance the E:60 Bobby Hurley documentary is pretty impressive......

Who would that be? Too bad BB is a team sport, one player just don't get it done......

How cool would it be to actually have two contenders from AZ.......instead of being lumped in with the west weak elite???? I always root for U of A but dang that would be fun to have the level of game up instate!!!

This late elk hunt was my first attempt at cold weather with the camp trailer! Forecast was for rain/snow and I went prepared I thought for whatever would come! First few days beautiful weather no issues except my furnace came on in the middle of the night even though I thought it was off! It would blow cold air unless I moved the needle to warmer from the off position! Any ideas on that? Also last night temperatures dropped considerably freezing all of my extra 10 gallon jugs fairly solid! Any remedy for that? Had a very enjoyable hunt with Raghorn! Ended up being a two legged pack mule but enjoyed getting to be out in the woods and gone from work!

I am clueless on matters that involve electricity! Will either of these work?

That sounds like a great idea....thanks!! I worried about that.....also one thing, I didn't really need my Honda generator on but I decided to give the cord a pull and honestly.....at 20 degrees it didn't do too hot

Thanks John, we had a great time and everything went really well, just trying to iron out my rookie bugs. Would replacing that switch make it less touchy? I always hate bothering you with my questions but like a trooper you responded anyway!!! Thanks....

Which trophy is a greater accomplishment?
Non-Typical Solutions replied to idgaf's topic in The Campfire
I just want a participation ribbon that says I went out and had a good time in the woods, I can't get close and I can't shoot far so somewhere in the middle I have no wall hanger trophies but hundreds of wall hanger memories built off of experiences trying to get close and trying to shoot far! The only thing that made any of those experiences trophies was the fact that most of them were with either my dad, brother, wife or one of my sons plus upon occasion some really great friends. Can't measure with a tape or a mile meter but trophies just the same!!! 850 yards or 12 either is irrelevant in my trophy case!!! Fun thread to read though!!!! -

Prayers for Gabi and parents! Fight hard definitely brings us to our knees when things like this happen! -
A top staffer for an Arizona congressman threatens to sue him for being too often drunk at work and creating a hostile work environment. So naturally, she is quietly given a $48,000 payoff – courtesy of you and me. Rep. Raúl Grijalva in 2015 agreed to give the woman five months’ pay to keep her mouth shut and go away, according to the Washington Times. This, just three months after she began working for him. Not harassment, but what exactly? Grijalva’s response? Hey, at least I wasn’t accused of sexual harassment. “On the advice of House Employment Counsel, I provided a severance package to a former employee who resigned,” he said, in a statement provided to the Times. “The severance did not involve the Office of Compliance and at no time was any allegation of sexual harassment made, and no sexual harassment occurred.” Well, credit to Grijalva for keeping his hands to himself. But showing up to represent the state of Arizona while three sheets to the wind? Is it true? It seems we aren't entitled to know. Grijalva said he couldn’t provide any further details due to an agreement to keep this thing confidential. "Regrettably, for me to provide any further details on this matter would violate the agreement,” he told the Times. Well, isn’t that just wonderful? The public can supply hush money. We just aren’t allowed to know the details of what, exactly, is being hushed up. We've paid millions to hush accusers

I didn't want to hijack another thread but the Sonoran post regarding vehicle requirements/information was pretty mind boggling to me! It would appear that it is more difficult to roam around free Mexico than it is the profiling American standard? Why is there so much blow back on the USA for showing interest in enforcing laws that are already in the books when other countries have much stricter "laws"? After reading this post about what I can take and how I can take it, I am sure I would end up in a Mexican prison for some violation!!! I mean really....no capes with ticks but hey, let the pot smuggling mule trains come right on through!!! Ernesto thanks so much for trying to help us understand some of the new regulations for taking vehicles into Mexico. We should use this post to help everyone that is going down to Mexico this season. Please feel free to add comments if you have concrete info. 1. Vehicles have to be in your personal name and in the drivers name. 2. If taking a trailer the trailer has to be in the drivers personal name. 3. If taking a quad or utv they also have to be in the driver of the towing vehicles personal name. 4. You cannot mix and match different owners on the trailer, quads or UTV's. Everything has to be in the drivers name. 5. I have been told no flatbed trucks and no dual tire trucks (no confirmation on this yet) 6. I have been told no commercial vehicles. (i highly recommend personal name vehicles) 7. You must have the title or the registration that is valid and up to date. 8. I have been told by some that if the vehicle is over 7716 (which is any 3/4 or larger vehicle) is will not be eligible to pass into Mexico. Conversely, I have been told that it is ok to be over 7716 but you just have to pay more. (if someone gets concrete info on this please keep us informed) 9. I always make copies of my passport, drivers license, title, registration etc. Multiple copies. 10. I have seen it done where the truck is in a company name or LLC. I have seen it work where on company letterhead it states that Joe Blow has the authority and permission to take the xxxx vehicle with license plate XXX into mexico for these dates. (I'm not sure if that is going to work anymore) 11. I dont think it would hurt to have a letter that is notarized that says that the vehicle is for personal use only and is not a commercial vehicle. (I think they are trying to crack down on commercial vehicles entering into Mexico) As I get more info I will try to share it on here. Remember No Capes with ticks can cross into the US. Pick them clean so that we make all hunters look good.

I agree, I am not an ASU fan but I do pay some attention to it and I thought Graham was a good man and good for players but maybe I don't know enough about the program! What does Sumlin have that would help him in the recruiting department!
-
Why is that? I mean why such a poor job recruiting? Is it money? Scholarships? Or mostly nobody wants to play in AZ?
-
The amount of money these colleges are paying head coaches that have been fired is ridiculous! UofA blew the game and ASU is starting all over again.......and Nik Saban lost to Auburn so he might be looking for a new job too

Nice looking buck, congrats!
