Two point take down, three point near fall................potentiall dangerous.......

Spent some time down in the big city this weekend and noticed more photo radar, but find it interesting that they spend so much money warning us about exactly where they are. In all reality, they should not post any warning signs, because they already posted the sign that says 65MPH. Then I got to thinking about the poor animals out there just walking in for their normal drink and WHAM....they get nailed by some hunter in a blind. So the deer sit around the campfire that night realizing that one of their buddies is missing and discussing how really fair it is to have hunters hunting them from a blind that they are not smart enough to figure out. So they approach the AZGF and request that signs be put up warning all wildlife that blinds with hunters in them may be present at favorite waterholes and trails. All this talk about stolen cameras and blinds has got me wondering where the hunt has gone and how we end up being our own worst enemy out there. Scrap the cameras and the blinds and wala, no more stolen cameras and blinds Try going out and finding the animals and sneaking up on them. New old concept, probably not as productive as the cameras and blinds but still a pretty fun way to go. I know the next thing you are gonna tell me is to leave my gun and bow behind and hunt with a stick

DD, I agree with you, common courtesy goes a long way and something that judging from the posts on this site is up for debate. We have gone from stealing blinds, to setting cameras to catch camera thieves, to threatning to steal blinds, to blunting anybody who comes close. I was trying to poke fun at it all because it seems to me that common courtesy is severly lacking. Common courtesy says that you don't mess with other people's stuff Common courtesy says that you don't tie up all the water holes with blind, signs or otherwise to protect your hunting spots Common courtesy says that if somebody got to your spot you had planned, you go to plan B Common courtesy says that if I am fishing at a hole on the creek or lake, you give me my space The list goes on forever..............I agree, common courtesy is the answer. But then again, it falls under that "ethical" word that nobody wants to talk about without getting a burr under their saddle..... Some day I will own a trail cam and a blind, but haven't graduated to that level yet.....

Not a day goes by without thinkin about him and he knows it. I like your choice of units for setting him to rest. I have told my boys when we have been out in the middle of nowhere 27 to just leave me if that happens to me. Pile a bunch of big old elk antlers on me and call it good. I can't tell you how many times I watched my dad hook a fish and then hand the pole to one of us kids, or grand kids. It is all about the hunt, the kill is just extra. Bill, maybe somewhere that old guy has mended some fences........

what a joke Exactly my point....if we keep it up we will have regulations regulating the regulations we already have......what ever happened to just a little common sense out there???

Kind of interesting how we might be worried about showing something like that on TV, because it is so realistic, and yet we don't worry about showing sex, drugs, violence on CSI 8:00 in the evening......good post ernesto

Been looking for an old movie I saw a long time ago. Starts out with a bunch of military dudes training in the Louisiana swamp lands. Nobody is supposed to have any ammo. They get out there in their training and see a backwoods cajun guy stroking across the water in his canoe. One of the military guys decides to have some fun and fires some blank rounds at the cajun guy. Next thing you know, that cajun guy comes up out of his canoe and puts a bullet through the head of the guy shooting blanks at him. Movie then turns in to a rambo hunt for the cajun guy. Sound familiar to anybody?? Not really big game topic, but hunting of sorts I guess......

So here is a question for hunters who use blinds. What is the difference between sitting on a waterhole all night long in a blind, and camping within a quarter mile of a watering hole??? I have been tendering the thought of buying a blind, but are there any regulations as to when I can sit in that blind day or night or all night long???

My son was out one hiking trip sitting under a tree eating Goobers and right next to him was a pile of sheep turds. When he was done eating his goobers, he filled the box with sheep turds and played one hail of joke on his grandpa. Goobers, buy a box of goobers and you are close..............

Quick story on this subject.....First hunt after being married for two months, my wife likes to hunt and we are packing that first October deer hunt. She turns to me and says, "You have everything" which I quickly replied, "I have my gun that is all I need". Not exactly the best answer I could have come up with, but she has stuck with me for 26 years now and every deer season she reminds me of my youthful blunder. While I was more that excited about the idea of the over the counter youth turkey tag and bought one for my own boy, I got a dose of anti-youth over the counter tags from one of my friends. What does everybody think? Is it very wise for the G$F to just sell prime turkey tags over the counter like that? What about the chance of seriously hurting the turkey population? I put in for spring turkey and rarely get drawn and then turn it into an over the counter tag???? Some of the questions thrown at me in a discussion, personally I really enjoyed getting to take my boy out and even though he did not harvest a turkey he is hooked on the hunt. Good idea or not? Tried to set up the poll thing but failed

Anybody out there got a extra handle laying around?

My son who was born in Flagstaff, lived in AZ all his life has attended Yavapai gunsmithing school, finished that, then transfered to MCC in Mesa to go to start on law school, has already attended two semesters and registered on-line to attend summer school only to find out his classes had been dropped. He had to go prove citizenship Obama presenting documentation of citizenship would be way to simple of a solution......................
