Woman attacked by her "PET" wild Coati

Thanks for the info......

You are correct in saying there is a unit 1 youth hunt but it is a draw and not over the counter this year. This was done as a result of the Wallow fire and the hit that turkey in the area took. Hopefully it will be opened back to over the counter in the near future if we get some good years of turkey production to bolster the population. Aaron So are there any over the counter hunts this year for youth???

Spring Break Ventures
Non-Typical Solutions replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in The Campfire
One of the areas we hiked just north/west of Buffalo Crossing, we dove off to get to the river, we bumped into one tom turkey. Other than that for all the road driving and hiking we did, no turkey. We did see turkey tracks in the snow several times hiking. I am really disappointed we don't get to do the youth over the counter turkey tag this year, my son got hooked big time last year. Dang it...... -

Somebody staking claim to a trick tank. Carcass with a couple of broadheads buried in the backbone. Interesting find. Hiking through some of the burn has a graveyard eerie to it. I hike my old rearend off only to find these tracks cutting through the burn. Frustrating Mulie deer out and about 1:00 middle of the day. Fountain of youth right here in beautiful AZ. -
As I watched the broadcast last night I found myself realizing how little I do personally to "improve" the wildlife habitat. There are alot of non-hunters out there who enjoy the wildlife we have in this state. Church groups, scouts, bird watchers and tree huggers. I pay for tags, license fees and all other required fees dealing with hunting, camping, fishing, hiking. All the things that I enjoy. I leave my campsite clean, I work hard to teach my kids good hunting ethics. I have volunteered time to help with cleanup projects. I personally don't belong to any groups, organizations, lobby groups. No board memebers, no comittee memebers nothing of that sort. Right now my dollars are up for grab(not much), but I want to be sure that who ever I decide to join up with has the same values for this state as I do and I have a surety that my money isn't going into somebody's pocket for personal gain. Personal gain being the difference between making a living and stealing. Sometimes we have to pay people for their time and efforts, I am ok with that. Dumping money into a non-profit program where somebody gets filthy rich, I don't want anything to do with that. One thing that I find interesting is were it not for my addiction to reading hunting stories on this website I would have been clueless about this bill that has been presented. I fall into that catagory spoken of many times last night "average Joe outdoorsman". It was very interesting to see the many different views, I appreciate being able to watch even though I was not there.

The Meeting
Non-Typical Solutions replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I really thought what Bruce brought up was what the meeting was supposed to be about, but like you said, seemed like alot of dancing. Hopefully Mr. Davis will take a look at what wasn't said as well as what was. -

Great resources plus I would think they had seen enough to know what direction this needs to go. Alot of the questions last night presented in the meeting referred to solutions and this is where we need to focus or efforts. Bill and Tony both I would think could have some great influence in this area. -

Plus one here, I can honestly say that if it weren't for this site, I would have heard nothing about this bill. Nothing in the paper, nothing on the news. Much appreciated for your efforts to keep us informed. -

First off it all started when I had an abundance of antler bases cross my path. I am sitting there thinking I gotta be able to make something out of those bases. Anyway, I use a scroll saw with a circular cut blade. Dirll a small hole to give me access to make my cutout. Then I do any dremel tool work I think I can get away with without busting things up. Use some two part epoxy to put things back together. Not bragging but they really look alot better in real life than they do in my bad pictures. I try to sell them on ebay but ebay seems like a black hole and they really don't get exposed to people who might have interest in that type of stuff. I have done several special orders from people who had ideas they would like to try. I am always open for ideas. I have most everything I have tried posted on facebook, just look up nontypicalsolutions and there are pictures there. I am trying to get a good pile accumulated for the 24th of July celebration up here. I told my son Cole he could set up a booth and sell them to raise money for his wrestling camp. I am obsessed right now, it is alot of fun and very satisfying.

Non-Typical Solutions replied to mikaele's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Funny, my simple mind thought that the AZGF was already in charge of disbursement of all tags?? That is where I apply for tags!!!! Reminds me of HB1070.....I thought we already had laws to take care of immigration........I dunno.....over thinkin I guess........ -

I saw that on the news last night, it was kinda hard to not laugh. The lady must have really been into her reading to never see that coyote walk up and bite her on the leg. All the sudden something was tugging on my leg??? You guys down in the valley need to get some varmint control going in the suburbs!!! -
