We watched the movie Extremely Loud and Incredibly Loud. In the one scene the little genius is going through the list of oxymoron quotes: Jumbo Shrimp Almost Exactly Now Then After reading this thread I have a new one I came up with all myself: Bank of America -

The final results of the survey are in an will be published in our newsletter. We owe it to our membership to give them the information of the survey. I have read that there were "trick Questions" in the survey. There were 3 questions. Question 1 was "Are you for the ADA continuing to support the AZSFW?" If you can discover the tricky part, please advise Amanda, since she helped craft some of the questions. As far as the AZSFW, it will continue to exist, but in a far different format and certainly without funding from any of the conservation groups, including the ADA. There is a HB in the legislature which is designed around what can or cannot be said on the internet. I hope that it does not garner support, but CWT would be an interesting place to visit if it does. I must admit that the silver lining is that some people have come out and gotten involved. Don Lee is a good example of what can happen when people get off their collective backsides and get to rolling up their sleeves. I attempted to call all those who voted to NOT support the AZSFW only to thank them for participating in the process. Some folks did not place their names or addresses on the return vote or envelope, but those that did I attempted to contact. As far as responding to CWT, I apologize, but we really do owe you nothing. The ADA will have their annual election in June and we are looking forward to our members attending and having new board members on the slate for a 2 year commitment. Regard, BPJ Once again, as I have stated on the thread regarding north of the big ditch. At this point as AZlance stated, credibility has been damaged. Then, BPJ you make a statement like this: As far as responding to CWT, I apologize, but we really do owe you nothing. You are 100% correct, you don't owe us anything, my guess though is that you feel we owe something to you for all of your many hours spent on "our" behalf? You don't owe us a thing, but comments like that do very little to bridge the gaping hole created by the HB2072, and that hole lies in the word trust, or maybe credibility. I actually do appreciate all that you and others have done for our deer herds here in Arizona, it is way more than I have done by far. But really, is it about oweing(sp?) anything to anybody other than what we can live with when we look in the mirror each morning? I don't think we throw the whole program out the window, (ADA) but credibility would have to take the reins in order to salvage and restore...... -
Take a guess who these quotes are from" “The government lied about Pearl Harbor. They knew the Japanese were going to attack. Government’s lied.” “We’ve got a paranoid group of patriots in power that now, in the interest of homeland stupidity – I mean homeland security …” “The government lied about the Tuskegee experiment. They purposely infected African-American men with syphilis …” “Fighting for peace is like raping for virginity.” “… what’s going on in white America, U.S. of KKKA …” “Black men turning on black men – that is fighting the wrong enemy. You both are the primary targets in an oppressive society that sees both of you as a dangerous threat.” called on God to dang America – or “white America, U.S. of KKKA,” as he refers to the nation in another sermon – “for killing innocent people … for treating us citizens as less than human.” “The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied.”

Nathaniel Hale 1755-1776 A successful school teacher, he became part of a select fighting group known as the Rangers after capturing a supply loaded ship. He volunteered to accept Washington's request to obtain information on the British position. Dressed in civilian clothes, he obtained the information, but was captured on his return. Since he was out of uniform, he was condemned to hang as a spy. He is famous for his courage and calm in the face of death and for his last words, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." He was 21 years old when he died. We are pretty panzy a$$ these days..............we have too much to be thankful for the one life that we have......good post......

We had a trip all planned this weekend to go put up a couple of trail cams and look for some antlers. The weather turned me into a chicken and we stayed home. I just had to remember what it was like the last time we checked cameras and man, I can't believe I let a little storm ruin my weekend.
-
Most of our pictures in the past have been coues, turkey and bears. We moved one of our cameras about a mile from where our other cameras have been and man, were we suprised at what we found. Now, the big question...is there a chance that the deer to the right in these last two photos is a coues???
-
That dont look like sunnyslope country to me .......some nice lookin bone there nice job.
-
That is what makes it all worth the miles.....good job on getting her out there with you and congrats to the lady.........

What size wheels are on that trailer and do you have a picture??? Thanks..........

Isn't that how most surveys are when those putting out the survey don't really want the answer?? Reminds me of the AIMS tests for our AZ state standards -

HPC NEPA ARC Here we go again.....you obviously already have the story and are just sitting on edge waiting to share or blast somebody my guess is somebody from the AZGFD(I know what that one means). I would think at this point you might get in touch with donniedent and find out what you two can do together to help with the: 1) incomplete 2)Do not have NEPA or Arc work done 3) have no local commitment for matching funds 4)do not supply maps, photos or important data 5) have no ranching support or access agreements And you wonder why still there is a lack of trust from the average hunter, whose support, money and donated tags you want. This type of junk is what breeds apathy......and it is killing the desire to get involved. -

For me, it is a matter of lack of knowledge. No idea what all of these different comittees represent, who the members are, what they represent, where the money goes. I put in for hunts, buy my hunting license, feel lucky if I get drawn. Go hunt. Always under the assumption that my money for tags, etc. is what took care of what I know as Game and Fish. When I started reading stories of hunting on this website, I started learning a whole lot about hunting and what is going on outside of my little, enclosed world. I learned that not everybody has the same idea what "ethics" are and it is a pretty heated discussion. I have learned that there are many factors that play into what Game and Fish has to deal with. Salt licks, blinds, two tracker roads vs. "maintained" roads. I have learned that there are many important issues out there that I honestly had no clue of and still wouldn't if it were not for all the info I have gleaned from this site. I realize that there is much at hand and much that is very important for the future of our hunting and fishing youth. Many people spend many hours on behalf of something that I have taken for granted. Even if I have not agreed with many things that have been said on this site I have still learned. Ignorance is what I blame my position on, but now that I have become more informed, I need to decide what is best for me to do to help. That decision becomes difficult though, when so many people claim one thing is what we need to do, and then a whole nother side of the spectrum says we need to do just the opposite. I am a rookie at this stuff, but I think I have a good grounding on what I expect from professional people who would represent my ideals and concerns. I feel I have met many people on this site that I would trust to make sound decisions on behalf of the future of our wildlife. I am willing and ready to help be a part of the solving of the problems that face us. -
