I watched this report and wondered what I would do in this situation......seems like people become so helpless and pitiful when they step out their front door and are confronted with creatures whose habitat they moved into. Coyotes have to be one of the most proficient adapters that there is and little house dogs and cats are easy prey. I love it how they talked about how the coyotes attacked and ate the dog alive and then were requesting humane removal and proper placement of the coyotes out into the wild. Maybe coyote behavior training would be a humane approach to the problem. http://www.azfamily.com/news/Phoenix-neighbors-plan-to-eliminate-coyotes-following-attack-239528341.html

One of my all time favorite pics. We were hiking a ridge, steepern heck, just trying to get from point A to point B. We were next to a fence that followed the ridge. I found the first one and pissed my wife off so she insisted to take the lead. 15 yards on down the ridge she found the other side. They are not very big but a memorable find. Then Cole the lucky sucker tripped across this pair while he was supposed to be looking for our trail cam. Then this one I practically had to stick Coles nose on it before he could see it. Are we ready..........heck yeah, counting the days.....

I have purchased two 12 gauge shotguns over the last 6 months for my boys. We went out and did some clay shooting today. The most recent shotgun has me worried. Maybe somebody out there has more experience with shotguns can help me out. When we shoot the gun, pump action, it throws the pump back automatically ejecting the empty spent shell. Only if I make a concentrated effort does the pump action stay in the forward position. Never encountered such a thing but I don't shoot a lot of shotgun either. Normal?? Not normal??? Should I take it back to Sportsmans??? Thanks for any help, Jeff

Winchester Super X Pump
Non-Typical Solutions replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in The Campfire
Just got off the phone with Winchester.......it in fact is a "feature" for rapid speed pump and considered to be a normal function of this model. I guess my only issue is I have two of the same model bought within 4 months of each other and the first one I bought does not cycle in this manner. I was also told it might depend on the loads I am shooting but when we were shooting yesterday I had both shotguns going pulling shells out of the same box, one gun cycled and the other didn't. When I say cycle, maybe I should say half cycle......pump action all the way back after pulling the trigger. Thanks to those of you that responded and for your input. Jeff -

Snow finally started flying Saturday noonish but nothing really sticking. They got a blanket up Pinetop and Show Low. We start off up at Blue Ridge with Chino Valley and Chinle on Dec. 4 then up to Flagstaff for the Peaks tournament 6-7. It is that time of year, hope to get to bump into you again somewhere along the way. Let it snow..........then no need to MOW.......take care....

Totally awesome footage thanks for sharing your hunt. I loved the zoom in on the long distance glassing. Crazy terrain. Do you mind me asking yardage on the different shots?

I heard a talk show host today say, "We don't deserve what our vets have given us." I kinda agree with him, we have let our country get so out of touch with what has been fought for. Thanks to you guys who keep us safe. Jeff

I remember back in the day when I lost my hunting license. I used to have to physically go to G$F and pay 5 bucks for a duplicate license. This past year as I put in for elk, I purchased my license as part of the draw process and it gave me the opportunity to print out my hunting license up to 10 days. I forgot to print my sons license during that 10 day period so I had to go online and apply for a duplicate. 5 bucks to reprint the license because it fell outside of the 10 day period. Here is my question? Why does it cost me to print out a duplicate at my house with my printer when it is already there and available through the G$F website. As a paying license holder who is already in the data bank why can't I just pull up my info and print out a duplicate??? Just wondering I mean it is only five bucks which is dirt cheap, just seems a little too simple to cost me 5 bucks.
