All is good, the insurance we have on him is a 5000 deductible 70/30 plan so bottom line is we still had about 3000 left to pay on deductible and will still owe 5000 when it is all cleared up. When I asked Blue Cross/Blue Shield who was going to pay the remaining $32000.00 they said because the hospital was in the "consortium" the rest just gets waived which then leads me to believe that the $37,000.00 is a highly inflated price. I work pretty hard to not be part of the 43%.........and I have filled my staple gun many, many times for alot less than $1000.00......and I have never made somebody else pay for my work because somebody sued or somebody defaulted on work done............we are currently waiting to get the "itemized" bill......can't wait to see that.......

One last sick twist to this post......does not the immigration issue directly affect hunting issues??? Just saying, if the Shiites are causing problems in Michigan it is impacting hunting as any and every lefty out there will bring it back to gun rights.....you see the sewer I am headed down right???

Kinda disappointed myself as I relied heavily on great members of this sight to keep me up to date on the latest craze around the world as well as here in AZ......honestly I almost always went to the political section first then started at the top and work my way down the list of topics to view. I do respect what Amanda has done and the high level of keeping this a great site that I would let my grandkids visit which is saying a lot in todays selection of things to let kids view. Keep up the good work Amanda as I will try to find another avenue to keep up to date on my political information. Still the best site out there.....right here at CWT.com.....

I posted this a couple years ago I think or maybe I wished I had can't remember. I bought a bird feeder. I hung It on my back porch and filled It with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it was, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table, everywhere! Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And other birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. Soon, the back yard was like it used to be.....quiet, serene....and no one demanding their rights to a free meal. Now let's see......Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care and free education, and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. Then the illegal's came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor; Your child's second grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English. Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to 'press one ' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than "ours" are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. Just my opinion, but maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder!

Any feelings out there about Big Lake road getting paved from the Alpine side? I am curious as to the why and who makes those kind of decisions. One of my favorite roads to drive and see game. I have mixed feelings about the "improvement" civilized left and we civilized right.

Coach, this is one thing that has me concerned as well, on one hand it appears to be making access easier on the other hand clamping down on what roads are going to cost to be on and what roads are they going to go ahead and close down. Probably somewhere around 1973 my dad knocked a hole in the oil pan.......going from reservation to national forest crossing the cattle guard......and the mud and slop during the monsoons at McNary. I have been stuck in mud and snow on that road more times than I want to admit...I sure hate to see them put black top on it.......

Back in the 70's right there at 3 forks we called that slippery hill. We would leave Alpine right after work to get the last hours of fishing at Big Lake. We would walk the railroad bed on the back side where now there is a boat ramp. Days long gone. Slippery hill will never be the same.

I grew up in southern New Mexico, my dad was a farmer/rancher trying to raise grain and cattle on land that was pretty tough. It was a great area for rattle snakes and as a result at a young age I developed a phobia for snakes in general. Cole and I went out to take care of chickens this afternoon and this brought back a flashback of memories of finding rattlesnakes as a kid. Course this is just a bull snake and a nice sized one. What is hard to see in this picture is the swallow nest on the light fixture above which currently has chicks in it.

That is for sure....I remember passing by the Gage exit on our way to El Paso taking our pigs to the Southwest International Livestock Show.....one of the first places I remember my dad ever paying money for a motel and first time ever watching Professional wrestling on TV....we didn't get very good TV in Cotton City...

Lived in Cotton City went to school in Animas......great place for a kid to grow up, tough place to make a living.

Hind site....I wish I would have sat and watched from a distance could have been interesting for sure......

We hauled him off across the dirt road from us......I really don't mind the rat killers they just always startle me.....rattlesnakes on the other hand gotta go if I find them on my property.

Came the closest ever to clocking a whole pile of deer Saturday night just north of the Shumway cuts, 8 deer crossed as I was putting on the brakes praying that the car behind me was paying enough attention. Had my wife and son both hollering at me to go left or right to miss them all. Whew

Back somewhere between1990-95 when we were living in Ash Fork, Williams always seemed to be on water watch, I remember when their reservoir got so low it turned on them and you didn't dare drink tap water for fear of catching something. One of the problems they really struggle with is the difficulty they have getting water from underground. Parts of Flagstaff suffer the same problem. Course the drought being the biggest issue........ We just did a little turkey hunting over around Alpine this weekend an it was awful dry there as well.

Rage....those are some nice sheds.......the heavy snows this winter pushed all the bulls out of 9....
