Not leaving yet, I bought this house 25 years ago and it's time to let it go. I lived in it for awhile and then rented it. The last guy stayed 10 years. Between a full time and part time job and other commitments I'm just getting tired. Put over 10K into the most recent work. It would be a good home for somebody. Good luck hopefully the market will be in your favor......

All this time I thought a troll was that little demon under the bridge on billy goats gruff??? -
Back in the early 70's which is more than 20 years ago we spent a lot of time fishing Big Lake and Reservation Lake. The only time we would ever and I mean ever see elk was once we crossed the Reservation line. We saw nice mule bucks right there in the Williamson valley all the time. Then you jump to the mid 90's, Elk everywhere, you took your life in your own hands driving between Show Low and Round Valley and on to Alpine, Nutrioso was a winter haven for elk, hundreds of elk all over that country and the deer became the least visible of the two species. Both the Rodeo/Chedeski and Wallow fires have changed habitat greatly in the rim country herds, where they hang out. That Rodeo/Chedeski fire moved the elk from the dry lakes tree farm area almost over night. Not to say there aren't still elk in there, just not the numbers as previously. I have seen more mule deer in these areas over the last 10 years than we were previously seeing, as to the size of antlers then and now.......I only see big antlers when I don't have a gun or a tag!!!

You have any pics of the traps and the Saki?

Looking at that last picture unless there is something freak about the buck not a match!! Dang good looking antlers though. We have alot of fun looking at the bases of antlers found in the same general area to compare..........

Coyotes have proven themselves to be a very adaptable predator........I would hate to see how many cats they have running around that city.......

Fox News....Whiskey Tango Foxtrot......... -
Interesting you mention that about coyotes and cats.....after hearing the report that they had a clinic for spay and neutering cats for free the other day at one of the vet clinics......last year they did 17,000 cats. They offered free traps for trapping stray cats to bring in and have them taken care of........we have become very soft in our feelings for animals and the coyote is a perfect predator for taking care of stray cats....17,000 cats spayed and neutered and then turned loose again???? Crazy!!!

I regret having sold the very first antler I found......at the time I was really hurting for some Christmas money.......I don't find many antlers and I keep the ones that are unique or bigger......various reasons for hanging on to them. To each their own....I have kept them and I've sold them but for me it really boils down to enjoying time with family and friends on a campout. I have found antlers after the crowds have had their time out there and I have had many more empty handed trips, but because I was really there to spend time with the family and enjoy the outdoors all was good. I don't like walking across 4 wheeler tracks where there are not supposed to be 4 wheeler tracks...other than that it is a legal means of making money and until ruled different who am I to complain. Respecting what nature provides out there goes a long way and if we abuse that privilege then it too will be regulated and eventually banned.

One of the scenes that I thought might hurt like heal was where Katniss flings the rock with her bow string??? Looked like a great chance to bust a knuckle but hey it is Hollywood right!!! I think it is great kids getting involved with something besides TV and whatever box that is they play with now days. Kudos to parents taking the time to give them the opportunity to try it out.

Nice job....sounds fun....one thing I have decided for sure....branches always end up being branches but antlers are always antlers with no exception.....glad you were able to catch that 2nd one on the way back through.......

Baseball.....fell off the edge of the world last year with the Dbacks....have not recovered yet.......haven't even looked at a roster yet to see if I recognize any players. As for Cubs fans..........ugh....they pack it in better than the home town Dbacks do.......
