Been going out early morning late evening, midnights all hours of the day for 20 years to tend animals. Had a barn owl in my coop one night I have chased coyotes away from my coop multiple times. Last night was a first with this greeter! He will NOT be returning!!!

Could be a prairie with those markings which is why I commented about the tail but they are up north. Either way I wouldn't want to get hit by one. Its either a diamondback or a Mojave. Prairies have only been documented near Springerville in AZ. They are thought to be in grasslands in far SE AZ, near the AZ/NM state line, but have never been documented there. Mojaves were my research specimen/project in grad school and you can't always go by the tail markings or color scheme. I've seen plenty of Mohaves that looked just like a diamondback and plenty of diamondbacks that looked like Mojave's. The only way to be 100% on the identification is to look for two large scales touching between the eyes (Mojave) or nine small scales (diamondback), but I don't know too many people willing to get that close! ☺ My first thought was Mojave, though. I would have never known that about the scales.....but I would never have been willing to get that close..........interesting information thanks....

The pictures are not the greatest but you will get the idea. We went down for a second try at seeing sheep and we weren't disappointed! The one picture with the boat inbetween us and the sheep. I just have a little 14' and we were anchored off across the lake from where the sheep were, trying to just watch and take pictures and such. This boat goes flying by.....realizes what was up there running around and proceeded to turn around pull right up to where the sheep were! We are headed to Canyon Lake again this weekend, went a couple of weeks ago and checked the lake out and want to try it again. Anybody have any specialty jigs or lures they like on this lake that you are willing to share??? We caught some bass using worms last time(nothing of any size) but I really like to us jigs and lures more than I like fishing with worms.

I always love the poor kid story......he couldn't find himself after having so much success so he turned to pot and got the DUI and then got his head screwed on straight, has a kid and a fiancee. I hate rooting for him but he flat out beat the heal out of everybody in that IM race last night, I was really rooting for Lochte to win that race. I got this truck last November it is the F-150 ecoboost and have loved every bit of it except!!! My old 79 Ford had a wrap around the interior of the wheel well that kept mud from getting into and hanging onto all the other interior parts. I have never had a rig with running boards but if I go through the littlest stretch of mud the running boards just pile it up. Anybody have someplace they go to get this type of addition put onto their trucks? Will mud flaps help keep the running boards a little less mud covered? I understand you play in the mud you are going to get muddy but the front and rear bumper on this truck get caked inside and I see that being a potential problem!

I guess I am paranoid about the dirt that will just sit there and cause rust and damage where it gets trapped. I had my old ford for close to 30 years and don't see myself buying another truck for another 30 so was just worried about longevity. Guess it is an old fart thing maybe........ I have the factory running boards on my F-250. Just bent one so I will have to look for another one or a pair. Dang sorry about that!!!

I am kinda disappointed in myself that I didn't notice it when I bought the truck cause I think if I would have told them I wouldn't take it without them they would have put them in for me. Seems like it would be just normal factory just to help reduce rust and wear on the body!!
