    Jumping the fence?

Not that this is a buffalo but I was working bucking shutes in Butte, Montana one summer and watched a full grown bull named Hanging Rattle clear a portable panel like it wasn't even standing there.......great big animal cleared the fence and put the crowd into a scamper!!!

    Javelina Bag Limit

Interesting....I ran into a guy in Wal Mart the other day asking about unit 41 being open to an eradication hunt, all you had to have was an over the counter permit and you could take as many pigs as you could shoot. Sounded very strange to me........he was trying to get the tag in the Wal Mart for unit 41......just sounded kinda fishy!!!

    Weird deaths!

Probably not all that wierd but it was kinda spooky. We drove past this tank every day for 5 days and all the sudden here is this fawn laying off to the side. It's hair is matted like it had been in the water. It's head is at an awkward position for where it is laying. There were obivious drag marks from the tank which was about 10 feet. No sign of struggle, no sign of bullet holes. This would have been Tuesday morning that I found it there. Maybe somebody found it in the tank and pulled it out to not cause the water to be messed up. Looked fairly recent and I can't imagine that I missed it going past there every day.....as the OP says......weird!!!

    Ruby Rd/36B Confrontation

The advent of the use of Razor, Rhino, ATV type vehicles combined with idiot hunters has really changed the hunt and the tranquility of the hunt. I am not hardcore but I do enjoy the quiet and I definitely get riled when I see somebody going cross country in their fancy machines. My full size truck took a beating over the rocky roads we encountered this past weekend and more than once we had to pull over where possible to let the faster ATV types go around us because they come right up on our bumper!!! The mentality is disrespectful of others and all about the "me"! I have this machine and get out of my way or I will run you over! There are those who use such vehicles in a respectful manner but just like everything else there is always the ACE who makes everybody look bad...... Great vehicles....just not great when mixed with ACE HOLE!!!

This is why some people don't deserve to hunt

Very much a visual learner....would love to see the drawing in crayon !! Kind of a funny thread we let somebody who shot a mule deer with a whitetail tag get us all riled up nipping at each other like a bunch of rabid skunks. Who needs anti's we'll kill ourselves off!!!

    Pressure 24B

Funny you ask.....I feel the same way about the unit we are headed too this weekend. We have never hunted the unit, we have done some pretty decent scouting and located some bucks, but that was not "during" the hunt. Even in units that I am very familiar with I prepare for the what if scenario..........somebody is on "my" glassing ridge where I have been getting trail cam pictures and I know there are good bucks there. That stuff just happens and you better have an a,b,c,d, and e list of where you want to try and go just in case!!! Personally due to work, I am going to go down in during the middle of the day opening morning......get camp set up and then go for a drive to see who is where and what and let the chips fall.........rather be doing that then working any day. Good luck to you and be safe!!!

Why Can't people on I 17 keep from crashing into each other?

About 10 years ago I was about to leave for my first ever elk hunt when my live-in GF called to say good bye on her way from Cottonwood up to Flag. She's babbling away about her work day or something and stops in the middle and goes, "Ohh, my god! what's this guy doing?! Ohh my God!!..... " Static noises, weird sounds on the phone and the call disconnects. I must've called her back about 20 times before finally a stranger answered her phone and asks if it's Matt? And then tells me she'd just rolled her car into the ditch and they were loading her in the ambulance. Friggin big rig started swerving around in it's lane and than came over right on top of her as she was passing. she wen't off onto the shoulder to avoid making contact, lost control and ended up in the ditch. Trucker never stopped and was never tracked down. She got banged up a bit but ended up being fine. My elk hunt never recovered though... Man that's horrible can't imagine glad she is ok most don't survive when it comes to tangling with a big rig. These guys are outta control as much as I'm not for new laws and such they should be restricted to the right lane only, and run reduced speeds. IMO That there is a nightmare!!! Glad she survived!!!

Why Can't people on I 17 keep from crashing into each other?

Speed......and if you can't monitor your own speed and abide by the speed limit then you end up over the rail!!! I find it funny that none of us like laws but how many of us abide by the speed limit? Why not monitor our own behavior instead of always relying on the "law" to fix the problem??? I play with the math on it all the time......like, what does 5mph faster than the speed limit really do for you as far as getting there faster?......5 minutes???5 miles? What I hate worse than anything is getting passed on a double line......that does put me into pissed off mode!!! Idiots!

    rv solar panels

I have had this one for about 35 years! Time has definitely expanded the square inches exposed which means that it requires daily attention to keep it out of direct and indirect sunshine! No special controller needed usually a damp wash rag keeps it maintained! It has been known to overheat but other than that it can hold its own even with the newer models!!!
